I dont know if this is how every dealer does it but every dealership that I know hires a local tint shop to tint your windows.
So either find out who tints the windows for the dealer and go directly to them or just have the dealer do it for you.

Tint is tint.
I once paid around that for Huber Optik on my W211 and hated it.
Go to a local shop and pay less than half of that for window tint. Or pay all of that at the same local shop and get your tails tinted too.

The blacker the color, the better (not talking about darkness, talking about the literal color), which means the simpler the better. Get a high quality version of the "normal stuff", it'll be cheaper than the other crap.
Screw the Dealer up-charge! Go to a local Shop and get the whole car tinted for $150!

There is a difference in different tints. te better tint film will block more heat and do a better job of filtering out UV rays. Huper Optik has always been regarded as the best tint on the market. With HuperOptik, the different tint levels do not change how much heat it keeps out of the car. A couple other highly regarded brand are Llumar and Madico. Llumar actually has a film called "air blue" that blocks out all heat and uv rays wile not darkening the glass. It's rated as a 70% tint which is about stock on most windows

Ya when I said tint is tint, I was basically saying that even going with the stuff that the local shop has should be good enough.
I paid about $400.00 on getting my W211 tinted with Huber Optik and when I got my car I didn't like how the tint looked. It has a metallic look to it and with the right amought of sunlight, it sometimes seemed as if it wasn't tinted at all. I was very disappointed.
I then had my W212 tinted somewhere else and just told them I wanted it dark. They charged me about $150.00 for the job all the way around and it came out dark. Just the way I liked it.
