I thought only my car had this issue! why do only some of the 040 cars have different color handles. i have a 2011 GL 040 black with 040 black handles, but my w212 is 040 black with obsidian handles. I bought both cars the same day, and have owned several 040 black benzes. This is really stupid. When my E is nice and clean and the sun is shining, the door handles stick out like sore thumbs.

I am happy to have found this post. I have had a 2013 black GLK for a week and have observed that the door handles are Obsidian Black. It really stands out on a sunny day.

That's some shoddy shenanigans there. Mismatched paint on the handles? It's bad enough that non-P2 W212's have cheaper looking monochromatic handles as opposed to the classic and currently upmarket M-B-style ones with chrome at the tips (cost cutting).

How crazy is this topic??? Chevy Malibu's have matching door handles, and probably all sub $25,000 cars, and for the money we spend we get different colors. I guess MB is getting like Orange County Choppers, whatever is on the shelf, just use it....lol
