2011 e550 4Matic on 20 inch COR staggered wheels
I recently had a chance to make some upgrades to my 2011 e550 4Matic which I purchased in late February. I wanted to thank this forum for providing access to accessories and guidance along the way. My goal was to keep the look simple, but unique.
I acquired several of the accessories with the help of this forum, including:
- The emblem
- LoMo M1 Lowering module (thanks to Ken for his support)
- Rear spoiler
- 6000K HID's (since I don't have the P2 package)
- Sprint Booster (set to Sport mode)
- 20" COR Cipher wheels (Concave and deep dish)
The wheels are COR Cipher, 20x8.5 in the front and 20x10 in the rear on
Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta Tires (with custom offset). I don't have the car slammed all the way, as it would be difficult to drive day to day...although the option to go lower is always there![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
The settings used in the photos for the lowering module are -3 in the front and -3 in the rear (out of 8 +/-).
Special thanks to DNJ Wheels in California for pulling the wheel package together for me.
Other than the HID kit (which was professionally installed), everything else was easily installed by my brother Jack.
I'm still considering changing the orange bumper lights, although I'm pretty happy for now with the overall look. I decided not to tint the windows for now, as I appreciate the cleaner look and really like the two tone cream interior.
Please share your thoughts/comments.

The wheels are certainly beautiful by themselfs. However, on W212 IMO they're not a good fit - too fragile looking especially on car's massive rear.
See how much smaller rears appear vs fronts due to deep dish effect.
I like wheels on EmE247's car much more for Mercedes. While 19s they appear as large, if not larger. In general, I prefer a monoblock type of wheel on MB sedans. Sorry to disagree with consenses here.

11 E550 Cabriolet
Looks sweet....!!!!
But gotta ask.... How can you possibly drive a car in NY and NJ on 20in wheels and tires given the fact we have some of the worst roads in the USA? There are many threads on this forum where folks with 18's & 19's have destroyed wheels and tires in NY / NJ.
Hope you were able to get some kind of tire and wheel insurance as part of the package.

Thanks for posting...You have to be extra cautious on the roads in NJ/NY. In my area, the roads are not that bad and many have been patched. However, I know on interstate highways, things can get a little messy. It's one of the reason's I decided to go with a strong and reinforced tire, that can really take a beating.

I admire your insanity for going to 20 inch rims. I had a double blowout 1/4 mile from the entrance to the Lincoln Tunnel in February and immediately put 17 inch rims on my car!!!! Anyway, how do like the sprint booster? Many with the e350's have raved about it. Thanks. Ned.

Thanks for posting. I went with the GM15 hood emblem, which I really like (picture attached). I purchased it from JBSPEED on the forum.

Thanks Tjdehya...really appreciate your support. I had a chance to work with Ken from LoweringModule and we were able to quickly address the issue. My plan is to replace the sidemarkers with clear sidemarkers. I've had problems finding the right set for a 2011 e550. The set that I previously ordered was specified for a 2010+, but they did not fit. Do you have any recommendations on where I can find the right sidemarkers my car?

New Black E550 w/ 4Matic
Just purchased E550 with 4Matic last week. I want to install 19 or 20's on them but I am getting conflicting reports on the impact on the 4Matic. Can anyone help me understand the affect on the vehicle if I do this.
