does this color combo suck?

I think the capri blue would look better on the CLS63... nevertheless, besides this color, all your left with is black, white or some shade of gray, not much to choose from.

Based on the chip in the configurator, I thought it would be an option to consider. A local dealer had an E (not E63) in that color, but upon seeing it in person, did not think the color was an attractive fit for the E class. Perhaps it would work better with the E63 due to the sporting nature of the car.

the dealer mentioned that color would be hard to resell, and I kind of
agree with him....
I saw one on the lot, (C class I think) in that color and it was nice; different....
but I may end up in a shade of grey somewhere.....

I think my wife's car is quartz blue (c-class). It's light blue anyway. It's a very pretty color, but to my eye very feminine. I don't know how much having it on an E63 will help. I've seen pink racecars and dragsters, but I still always expect a female to be driving one.

So I went with the Quartz Blue fully appreciating that would not be everyone's cup of tea. I have not regretted that choice at all.

No offense taken if you go in a different direction. I think the W212 looks great in just about all of the colors offered. But if you are going to order - I encourage you to get something unique. Otherwise pick one off the dealer's lot. I also liked the Cuprite Brown (also a rare color on the E63) which would have been my second choice.
