looking for some opinions
I have. Regular 2011 e350 4M, p1, with quad fog lights, I was thinking to put amber bulbs in my fogs just like the old w126's, and w124's of earlier years. I have updated my head lights to 6k HID, and my parking lights are LED.. I was just brain storming??

Ya thats what I figured. I have seen some members w/ amber fogs on their W211. I like the cleaner look where all the lights are of a similar look/color.
My previous W211 had 6k HID headlights, foglights, and citylights.
My current W212 has 6k HID headlights and citylights. Unfortunately the hockey stick LED's I couldn't do HID.

Amber fogs
It depends on what you intend to use the fogs for...if you plan to use them as supplemental lighting then I'd look for an HID conversion to make them HID, or at try to color match them to your HID. If you live in a typically foggy area, like me - I'd go with a pair of PIAA Plasma Ion Yellow/Ion Crystal bulbs that will look clear behind the glass, but will glow bright yellow (not amber/orange) when illuminated.
