Installed 6000K HID Lower beam and now blinking

I installed a lower beam HID kit in my new 2011 E350 Bluetec. All went well and they work great for the first 15 minutes or so and then when I apply the brakes they blink rapidly on and off. I can't figure out what it is. I did a clean, tight install and re checked everything. It only happens after they warm up and it only happens when brakes are applied. When I let up on the brakes they go back to normal until next brake pressure applied.
Please help. I'm lost on this one.
Thanks
Lynn

Wow. Did you put a resistor in or error code eliminator kit? Maybe those are the symptoms if not.

I really appreciate the input but I actually did a lot of experimenting with that also. I was wondering if he sold me the wrong kit but again it works for about 15 minutes until it heats up and then only the brakes cause it to happen. gotta be something simple I am overlooking. May have to remove the kit and just give up and have yellow lights again.

Assuming you have installed capacitors on correctly, what kind did you use? i think you may need a 24000uf 35W one to work correctly.

My other guess is you have bad ballast. What kit do you have? bad ballast (like Ebay ones ) tend to make lights flicker too.

Angry

I bought it online from HIDSRUS.COM and have now given up and removed the whole kit. I am back to yellow lights. I am returning the kit to them as it was guaranteed plug and go ready with ballasts and all.
I would now just like a brighter, maybe whiter light that I can just plug in without replacing anything else, not HID's as I give up on those. If you know of a brighter whiter light set for high and low beams please let me know.

Oh by the way www.hidsrus.com has horrible customer service. I have emailed them 4 days in a row with no response and called everyday with no response so I highly recommend anyone staying far away from them.

That was the hard side. I had to turn the wheels far left and open the panel behind the wheel. It just has the plastic pop pins that hold it in. Then you have access behind the front wall there.

Yeah it's literally a 30 to 40 minute install. The install went very easy.

Just my 2 cents...

But the install of HID's is pretty difficult with the very limited space under the hood of the W212.

I had HID lights and city lights installed at a reputable shop in So Cal and they gave me lifetime warranty.

The HIDs started to shine a different hue left and right so went to the shop and they replaced both HID w/ new ones for free.

Pay the extra $, have them do all the work, and guaranteed for the life of the car...

I got the Notto HID kit from carid.com - http://www.carid.com/2011-mercedes-e...kit-77434.html Got one bad capcitor. They sent me a new one right away no questions asked. Just make sure the ballast is not too close to heat from the engine. Works great so far after 3 months..

you need the HID digital kits. they look identical to regular hid kits bu from the ballast to the bulbs theres a housing where the resistor is.

If you go for the Notto HID kit at carid just select the car you have (Mercedes -> E-Class -> 2011). Select Bulb size (H7) and the color you want.

or just use this link
