Escort 9500IX and the excuse im a ER doc has worked 3/3 times ive been pulled over 110 in 65, 100 in a 65, and the other day 75 in a 55. All these stops were in an Acura and recently a rental black dodge charger which is complete junk. And I did not have my radar detector at that time. Luck does run out eventually. Ive slowed down alot. I just gun it when passing or biilybob tailgaits in his charger to see what I got. LOL

And I thought you were actually a cool guy with some intellect. So lets clarify I have a pager. There are things called Trauma Activation which indicates chopper in route with critically injured(no pulse, coding, low glascow scale). Medvac give ETA's. Shifts start at 7a or 7p. when that chopper lands you need to be there period. I don t speed to be a jack@ss like some on this board showing off there E and C or whatever. When I have hit 100 no cars were around period (except CHP).Most cops dont give tickets because they understand the the gravity of my job, and we work closely with law enforcement. They are in the ER all the time either patients themselves or bringing in drunk or high drivers who just killed a family of 4. So dont accuse me of being lame and a liar. My job deals with life and death daily and is stressfull. Minutes make a difference when it comes to living or dying. Ask any experienced ER doc. I am also guilty of getting off shift and speeding home to try to get sleep to be back in the ER 5 hours later. BTW change that stupid pic profile. Its not cool. I was actually happy for you that your getting an E63. Get lots of tickets buddy!!!

whoh.........
you made it seem like you lied on purpose, to get out of a ticket....
if I offended then I must apologize, perhaps I came across to bluntly...
even police are not supposed to exceed the speed on a call.....but they frequently do....maybe I'm mistaken.......
why do you have to get all graphic and insane?? I am a donor, and I guess I will meet my maker when the time comes.....
but man, you are kind of out on a limb I think......
my comment was an opinion but yours is just going for the throat......ironic no?
thanx for thinking I was a cool guy with intell though.......I'm really not, just a poser of life I guess..........
I do hope you continue to save lives(respect, seriously)and I hope for you too that you're never critically injured in those ways you described to me with the passion you did....that would really suck....
And I'm sorry you're no longer 'happy' for me and my new supercar.....
I'm getting pretty excited actually, it's getting closer and closer!! our cars will be the same color! isn't that awesome??
and which stupid profile pic are you refurring too?
there are a few stupid pix up on there.....
thanx for commenting

I did not appreciate being called a liar.I worded my first post wrongly using the word excuse. I guess I did go for the throat. I am happy for you still, and hope you dont get tickets. As far as graphic or insane, what happens in a trauma center is very graphic and insane. Your adrenaline surges when they shut down the rotors on the helicopter, because you know its going to be real bad. Shows like ER and Trauma life in the ER just dont give the viewer the real emotional experience and toll. I had a lady say to me doc i dont want to die. I turned around to write orders and she died instantly from a ruptured heart. Thats why I say minutes matter. If I get stuck in traffic Im screwed I gotta move after it clears. There always traffic in SoCAL regardless of time of day. And yes please be a donor volunteer and I hope you never become one. The donors are usually Motorcycle and MVA rollover accidents. Enough said I going to the country club and driving the speed limit despite my new radar detector.

Well I hate to disappoint! But I dont see that happening...
Besides where I work ER doctors come a dime a dozen and we all respect on another enough not to drive 110 in a 65 in order to prevent some innocent citizen from being critically injured with blood oozing out of their head, brain bleeding, and having seizures with low blood pressure with no response to verbal commands...
Glad your not in my state! You're a doctor? Wow![/quot
Next time your critically injured with blood oozing out of your head, brain bleeding, and having seizures with low blood pressure and no response to verbal commands, I hope your ER doc take his time to get to the ER driving 55 and stopping for starbucks. To hell with the golden hour. You will make a good donor.

awesome cat picture.......
at any rate,
I am going to debadge my new car when it arrives....
the clean lines: nobody trying to race me and 'make' me show off, (lol):
no cops looking for the AMG badge either.......
that's gotta be a plus since there are 3 AMG's on the list of most ticketed...
of course here in NC I rarely even see people pulled over.....

Doctors a dime a dozen. That must be why i have 10 job offers a week. Right your quite the expert. If you read my post correctly I never hit triples in the past with any other cars around me or assessing road conditions. Driving fast in traffic is reckless and I have never been that guy. Let's ask others viewing this thread if they have ever hit 100. I'm sure multiple members with AMG have gone well beyond that speed.

You win...
Hyperion667 you are right even near Fort Bragg people rarely get pulled over... However at the Hospital on post (Womack) I see nearly 10 Soldiers a month with injuries suffered from car or cycle injuries...

Anyways this thread is diverging. Hyperion why debadge an AMG? I would wear the badge proud and not worry about other drivers wanting to street race. Just don't engange. I don't think the cops will harass you either. Just my opinion.

If i had an AMG, i would remove the badges.... I love the smooth look. If i could take the star off the back of the trunk I would, but i'm pretty sure there are a couple holes behind it.
for the record, I've removed the emblems from every car i've ever owned, well... they fell of my first car

Yes but everyone works in shifts. In large teaching hospitals,Residents are on duty for usually 30 hrs every 3-4 days, but attendings are usually on 12hr shifts. In rural hospitals The ER doc maybe the only individual to call the shots. No residents, neurosurgeons, Surgery may be in house or have to be called in. Thats why I say timing is critical and you gotta get there on time. You dont want a resident up 30 hrs receiving you. While many injuries are properly diagnosed and treated in the initial assesments, I have seen secondary critical injuries overlooked by fatigued docs.

Ok, so it's getting there in time for a specific shift vs an ER doc being called/rushed to come in for an emergency; there should already be coverage in place for that especially at a trauma center. I understand if a specific surgical/trauma specialty is needed after ER assessment/treatment then that person may possibly need to be rushed in...

You may get a call 15 min before your shift chopper in route, and the other guy you are relieving has been working non stop for 12 hrs and has maybe seen 50+ patients. He or she needs to be relieved for patient safety and not take on a critical patient at shift change. Its complicated, and keep in mind the first doc that lays eyes on you in many smaller hospital is the ER doctor. They have to make critical decisions on stabilizing the patient and then determining course of treatments including consultations with other docs. Everything has to move fast and efficient or people who are capable of surviving crump. Sorry about typos ipad and i dont get along with my large fingers lol. Theres no room for tardiness in my line of work.
