2010 E350 sport sedan
![Question](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I had a 2010 E350 with P-Zero as stock tires.
Unfortunately, the tires were way far behind my expectation.
I am in the SF bay area, roads are damage with lots of bump.
The P-Zero is just way too bumpy on this kinda roads.
Noise....... I would comment as LOUD!!!!!![BeatDeatHorse](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/beatdeadhorse5.gif)
with 25k miles on it.... my rear tires is now gone~!
I don't like these tires..... simple as is.
Any suggestion with tires selection?
1)Michelin Pilot sport A/S?
2)Continental ExtremeContact DWS? (Tirerack comment some said shaky, really?)
3)Bridgestone RE960AS?
Here is my check-list.
a) Noisy tires are definite a big fat NO NO!!!![action](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/action1.gif)
b) prefer not too bumpy on road
c) if the above items are check, I don't mind to compromise some treadwear.......![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
Thnaks for anybody that help

Check Consumer Reports for past few years. They tend to do one type tire per year. I put Dunlops on my RAV4, but that's an SUV. They ride more comfortably and quieter than Bridgestone on Michellin, IMO.
Have had Michellins OEM on a few cars, but would never buy them as replacement tires.

Agreed regarding the Pirelli's.
I just put them on as replacements for the conti's upfront. I now get resonance noise and drifting of the car despite a good alignment (one of the tires may be bad). I am returning them for the Continental DWS.
I'll have them on later this week and can comment. I also like the fact the DWS tests well in snow for an all-seasons tire.

Heard Hankook Ventus V12's were good enough and relatively inexpensive. Additional feedback from those that might know would be appreciated.
Gonna give them a try when my Toyo T1-R's go bad. 2nd set of Toyos and feel pretty stupid having to fork over a grand to replace all 4 every 10k miles...
Here's a thread about them from a different section...

S212 2011 Wagon and Wife's 2014 C350 sedan.
Check out Michhlin PS2 A/S Plus Tires
When I purchased my 11 E350 Sport Wagon I drove directly to Discount tire and put on a set of Michelin PSE A/S Plus. They took the Contis in on trade and that helped in the cost. Not all Will do that.
The Michleins are fantastic. 45,000 mile tire warranty and with Discount Tire free roatation and balance it is a no brainer. The tires now have 8,000 miles and look good as new. Quiet and excellent in rain and snow.
No affilation with Tire Rack.

From all the comment and feed back, Conti's DWS and Michelin PS A/S seems like a good tire.
Some feed back said Conti DWS are too soft on the sidewall where some other said Michelin is too noisy.
um...... very hard to choose.

threads like this pop up on a daily. a quick search wouldn't hurt.
but to answer your question, I would recommend Hankook V12's. Best bang for your buck.

Tire Review:
After putting some time on the Contipros, Michelin pilot sport a/s, and conti DWS, I'd like to share my rec's for people replacing their tires.
Conti DWS - The rubber is way too soft in the summertime. Braking and cornering are significantly affected. These feel like more of a winter tire than an all-season tire. Pass on these unless you are way up north. Noise level is moderate.
Mich pilot sport a/s - Great in the summertime. They can handle the 382hp at the rear. Noise level is good/moderate
P-zeros - Incredibly loud tire. Pass on these tires period.
Contipro Contacts - Decent all around. Noise level is moderate/good. Summer and winter traction were both decent. The dealbraker here is the treadwear rating of 280 on the rear tires.
Conclusion - Mich pilot sport a/s is the winner. It also happens to be the most expensive tire. If you would sacrifice summer performance for better wintertime grip but want to stick an all-season year round, the DWS are reasonable. ContiprosContacts also a good choice but barely cheaper than the pilot sports.

thanx magicjack, I've been pretty happy with these all season conti's my 550 came with....coming up on 20K, have to start thinking of which new ones to get.....
I have the mich on my 63, they feel pretty good, I have the TP right at the recommended....34&36, they feel nice too...
kind of difficult to choose, also going to be stepping up to 20's on 63, and thinking of
these tire options....
cheers

I've had both P-Zero's and Continentals on two different W212 E350's.
Pirellis SUCKED. Continentals are better. That's the best I can give ya.

I have 9300 miles on a 2010 W212 4 Matic with P-Zero Nero Pirellis. They are the loudest tires I have ever had in 47 years. On slightly irregular surfaces or grooved roadways they roar.
I will replace them with another all season tire. How do the Continental DWS and Michelins compare for noise?

You should go for the round black ones.
LOL
I just got the DWS on mine. I had the michelin pilot's, I liked them but they were summer tires, no idea why the previous owner put summer tires on a 4d sedan in Virginia. I tried the summer tires out in a light snow and it was sort of like skiing in a 5000 pound car.
Too bad I had too pull of the michelins with 1/2 tread left.
The DWS side wall is bit softer than the other tires, but still a good ride. It hasn't snowed again since and it probably wont since I dropped $850 on new tires.

I've been driving on Cooper tires for 20 years now - IMO the most underrated tire on the market. They offer great grip, they're relatively quiet, and I usually get a minimum of 40k miles on them with zero issues. I had the sports on my old Acura CL, and I now have the Discover tire on my Honda Pilot. The latter is a very quiet and very smooth riding tire, especially here in pot-hole country Chicago.

I just replaced Continentals on 2012 at 28,000 miles. Bought Michelin Primacy MXM4's for $850 mounted, balanced, and including tax. They are soft riding and quite.
