Finally took the plunge !

After a few stops and starts over the last few months and wrangling over waiting for the new engine or not, i finally took the plunge and have purchased a 2011 e350 sport 4matic Palladium Silver
Fairly basic, just P1, AMG Wheels and the rear trunk spoiler, and the split folding rear seats, just cant live without those.

I finally decided that the overall savings were too much to ignore right now and worth more than the new engine ( at least in my case, ymmv )

MSRP $58,995. Paid $48,335

For those who were interested in the e550 discounts. i shopped those as well and had a deal for a 2011 e550 4matic msrp at $68845. my price was $55,667
a very good deal i thought but the e350 is enough for me now so i passed on that one. Maybe next time!

Delivery is Saturday !

Great prices, however I think you couild have gotten the P2 loaded for @ 50k. My friend and I got the same car, he financed, I leased. His loaded p2 was 50k flat.

Yes your absolutely right, i also was looking at a steel grey P2 car with AMG wheels msrp 60705 and they wanted to sell to me for 50k even. However i ultimately chose this car because i liked the color better and decided to save the money for the p2 for my next purchase.

Sounds like a great deal, especially if you got everything that you wanted!! Congratulations and welcome to the forum. Let the complaining begin!!! Just kidding, but if you need to vent for any reason, we're here for you. If the roads by you are as bad as they are by me, you might want to buy the tire and rim insurance. Regards. Ned.

P2 is worth every penny for the bixenon lights!! I regret not getting them since the very first time I drove the car at night. I would STRONGLY recommend finding a car with P2!!! If the dim headlights don't bother you, then congratulations!!!

The fact that I can see a Nissan with xenon lights but not on a 60k Mercedes is beyond me! Make it standard along with folding rear seats!

Other than my feelings about the airmatic shocks, which I don't love(I don't think they have enough "travel" and are too hard on rough roads), the car has been trouble free. Solid, a vehicle worthy of being a Mercedes, tank like. I originally had the e350 and quickly traded up to the e550 because I felt that the pay-up of $7,000 was worth it for leather, v8 and airmatic. I actually really liked the e350 engine. Some people say its not enough power but it has a lot of torque and will move if you step on it and works great with the tranny and paddle shifters for the occasional downshift. I love the design, really like the interior. So far the interior is rattle free, which makes me happy since rattles drive me crazy. Enjoy. Ned.

New engine? mostly for the extra horsepower. I will see how this one is in everyday driving and maybe it wont be an issue.

By the way the e550 i drove had a July build date and the new color dash information area, that was pretty nice.

Tom you are going to love your 350. I have had mine for almost a year and just yetserday turned 10K on the odometer. I admit, they were the most comfortable, satisfying 10,000 miles I have ever driven.
Good luck with the new car and stay safe this weekend with this storm approaching.
