when i wash the car i remove the metal key and put the remote and the start/stop button in the glovebox. then i lock the glove box with the metal key and keep that in my pocket. this way the car will not lock/unlock when i spray the door handle.

I have the keyless go system in my Camry Hybrid. It's so hard to go back to a car without it. This is just one of those things where the convenience outweighs nearly any and all drawbacks that I can think of.

I can go on errands across town all day long and the key will have only left my pocket only when I finally get home that night and I'm setting it on the counter!

No it doesn't. I have the exact same Keyless Go system in your son's Lexus in my Toyota. There is NO factory system in the world that will kill the engine when it is out of the key's range for very, very obvious liability reasons.

Hype, what do you mean about the LED's? Do you mean the E63's (E62 is actually accurate too, lol ) straight across daytime running lights? If so, they actually are LED's, but yeah they're a yellow-y color for some reason, while the "regular" W212's have a more white/blue LED color.

Ah. I still have seen some E63's with a more yellow-y daytime running light color, but I dunno if it was maybe the angle at the time I was paying attention to it or something. I figured that it might be purposeful since I've seen some Euro cars get modded to have a similar color when stressing a performance theme, or maybe I was just seeing things.

To me, Keyless Go is like having a smartphone. Once you have a smartphone, you can't go back using a regular phone.
