Had a small run in with the curb for the first time ever,
Had to order two new rims today.
Was ON MY WAY to the indy shop for a mirror mod LOL......
pretty obvious the front got DESTROYED, and the one in the rear enough
to be annoying as hell for eternity......but still usable...but will be replaced....the Mandrus that are
on there are only 250 a piece....
wanted to share the pix....haha....
this was the first time I have ever done that in ANY car......

live and learn eh?

OUCH, hyp, have to wonder, is it a quality issue with the Mandrus wheel (i had considered getting them in the past as they were hubcentric etc) or did you hit that curb really hard...

Definitely check the alignment.

seems like a perfect excuse for 4 new wheels on this one doesn't it?

well, I did really nail that curb....guessing at about 15 or 20 mph....that's plenty fast....I still like the wheels...they have been great thus far.....and only 250 each......def getting the same one......for now.....

LOL, yes, it is.....but there are not even 20K on these yet,
but I have considered getting new ones all around.....the dealer would like that......which is where I'd go for an alignment anyway, might as well do it there......they put them on to begin with too, almost one year ago.....
been rotated every 5K too...
still toying with the idea of painting the OEM's black or something...
I'm having the OEM grill wrapped (I think) in some kind of CF wrap....the indy shop I like said he 'knows a guy' LOL.....if that turns out.....
would CF wrapped wheels be dumb?

OUCH ... so sorry to see that the curb won that round. Next time, make the curb pay :-)

Wow...how big was that curb?

What tire brand, sizes were you running and at what psi?

I've jumped 6 inch curbs with my aftermarket wheels on my Lexus...and luckily no damage. This was due to having Dunlop Direzza DZ101 245/275 low profile tires and pumped up to 40 psi. These tires are made for drifting...so the sidewalls are tough as hell!!
