Why are you doing the badge black too? are you going for a total sinister look? Tint the windows dark as well?

just wanted to mod something, LOL.......
going to put the black grill on my 550......
guess I'll sell this other one with the star on it.....

plus, I thought it to be interesting that the grill comes apart into 2 pieces......
I'll bet that was a ***** to get apart......or maybe not

I kind of like the amg with the stock grill you know?

Oh yes I've seen another member with this mod as well. It came out pretty nice.

Just one question, how do you choose which one to drive for the day? lol

I did mine also, but didn't break it down. Had the whole thing painted black, and put my star back on the hood. I love the look.

hyp, i would go all the way, paint all the window chrome trim in gloss black. wish i did that but just wrapped them instead. If not the window trim, i would do the trunk badges and the chrome strip above the license plate in gloss black.

That looks awesome Hype. Now just get those side chrome strips off just like your 63. I like the look without them, it shows the metal seem going down the side of the car.

Look at your 63 where the chrome strip should be, there is a body line in the metal. I probably worded that wrong, but I think it looks good without the chrome strip because you can see the body line flow through.

i like it! Think i will go ahead and do it (professionally), but probably fill in the emblem to give it a cleaner look.
