Now, back to the subject as posted in the thread's title....
I'm considering a 2010 E350 with these much-discussed MB-Tex vinyl seats. I haven't owned vinyl car seats in more than 20 years. I would prefer leather since the vinyl seats I remember from way back then would grill you alive whenever you slid into your drivers seat on a 95-degree mid-July day if the car had been parked in the sun for just a couple of hours....
The leather seats in our current vehicles breathe and don't grill us like vinyl seats did. I trust leather seats because I know how to care for them properly. Ours look great and continue to perform well....
I gather that these MB-Tex vinyl seats are much-improved in appearance and durability compared to the vinyl of yesteryear....
My question is simply this: Do MB-Tex seats grill you on a hot summer day just as 1970s and 1980s vinyl seats did? The MB-Tex seats in the 2010 E350 I am considering are beige in color....
Please do not start World War III. Just be honest about how bad or how good this stuff is on hot summer days....
Thanks....
