I have an idea - why don't you all just agree that MRJOE is the most annoying, vile, useless jerk in this entire thread, then you can all get along and just laugh at him. It's a win-win for everyone since he seems to be the very first person who pushed the vitriol level in this thread off the charts and continues to spout what is arguably the most useless crap. I don't even think he's owned a car with MBTex OR Mercedes leather!!! What a troll.
Also, how dare you call the C class ugly! We should start a new 8 page thread to argue that one!! Clearly my C class is better than all of your E classes!! Also my MBTex is better than your nasty leather!
(This is a joke, this thread has become so silly!!)

I think this Topic's been beaten to death, so not much more to be said. Maybe the next "Tex VS Leather" Thread will go down more smoothly.

FYI. Many leather seats have thin vinyl covers to protect them. Supposedly if you place a drop of water on the material, pure leather will absorb it, but vinyl covered leather will bead.
Also, way back, the chauffeur got leather, but the wealthy owners sat on cloth. Then cloth was replaced with nylon as a higher level seating surface and then along came vinyl as a higher quality surface.
Guys, it's all a matter of choice. It's like the star on the hood; some like it, some don't.
Both materials are good, but in different ways.

While it is correct that there often was a seating difference between the drivers and the passengers, where did you get your information about leather is worse that cloth is worse than nylon is worse than vinyl?

Administrator - please advise why 12/18 post from low life sub human trailer trash jerk, ignorant worm acr2001 was not edited. This was a personal uncalled for attack on another member, who was not even involved in the thread discussion.

Yes, indeed. Why hasn't our upstanding Member, Mrjoe, been catered to with such dignity, without the necessity for him reciprocating as such? Isn't he allowed at least this??!!

Does anyone know if aftermarket HID's are as good as OEM HID's?
And what's better, V8 or V6?
Oh, and should I de-badge my car?

I can answer those
But is Chevy better than a Plynouth Duster - discuss
Any oil that doesn't meet MB specs is best. What the hell do engineers know anyway?
While we're at it, could somebody please explain how to remove the top speed limiter on my car? 130mph isn't fast enough for downtown DC.
What's better, leather or MB-Tex?

Way better because they produce more glare. More of anything is always better
And what's better, V8 or V6?
V6 because it de-badges easier
Oh, and should I de-badge my car?
Only if you don't want to look like a taxi - whatever that means.
