If something is "uncanny", does that mean something else can be 'canny'?

We have had nothing but dogs as president for the past few decades. All they learn to do is fetch for the corporations. I think it is time to go with Baboons or crash test dummies.

Considering a 2013 E350 Cabriolet
I must admit that this old thread was an absolute hoot to read....
Now, back to the subject as posted in the thread's title....
I'm considering a 2010 E350 with these much-discussed MB-Tex vinyl seats. I haven't owned vinyl car seats in more than 20 years. I would prefer leather since the vinyl seats I remember from way back then would grill you alive whenever you slid into your drivers seat on a 95-degree mid-July day if the car had been parked in the sun for just a couple of hours....
The leather seats in our current vehicles breathe and don't grill us like vinyl seats did. I trust leather seats because I know how to care for them properly. Ours look great and continue to perform well....
I gather that these MB-Tex vinyl seats are much-improved in appearance and durability compared to the vinyl of yesteryear....
My question is simply this: Do MB-Tex seats grill you on a hot summer day just as 1970s and 1980s vinyl seats did? The MB-Tex seats in the 2010 E350 I am considering are beige in color....
Please do not start World War III. Just be honest about how bad or how good this stuff is on hot summer days....
Thanks....

Glad to hear you like your MB-Tex seats, but I'm still looking for feedback on whether or not this stuff grills you like a pork chop on hot summer days....

Wow, surprised when this old thread popped up in my e-mail. I actually waited and just took European Delivery of a new '14 BMW 650i M Sport Edition coupe last month. Waiting for US redelivery at their Performance center in SC. The extended Nappa Leather in this car is incredible. Covers not only the heated/cooled seats, but also the armrests, door panels, center console and extends up the entire dash with French contrast stitching. With a Alcantara headliner, fineline oak trim, Bang & Olufsen stereo & ceramic controls, 10.5 inch high res Infotainment screen, the interior rivals a Aston.
My interior material questions have all been answered !! A few pics attached.
The Welt in Munich is also a first rate experience.
