lamin-x tail light tints installed
I recieved my lamin x last week, "smoked" i had the day off soo i went to my tint guy and had them installed. The installer much rather of used his own film but figured since i spent the $55 already he was gonna give it a try. Sure enough the pre cut lamin x doesnt give you any extra material to stretch or play with.. soo since our tail lights come to a point in the corners and need to be stretched there isnt enough material to cover the whole tail light.(about a 1/8" of red was showing on each tail light due to not having a big enough piece of film. From 2 feet or further back it looks fine.. when you stare at them from 1 foot away your able to see the imperfections. He gave me the option of coming back and he would re do them with his own film. Any way heres the pics.

Dont use lamin x.. just go to a good tint place and let them use there own material.. pre cut lamin x film isnt big enough to cover the whole tail light.. TRUST ME.. they dont leave you enough material to stretch

Porsche Macan S SportDesign / Ex M-B's: 11 & 10 & 06 E350's, 02 S500
Yeah, always go with the Tint cut straight from the Tint Shop. About the rear valance being painted at the bottom, I was looking at pics of '09 W211 E350's with their AMG Sport Package, and low and behold; they came with the bottom portion painted to match the car as well! Looks like M-B decided to fully black out the W212's valance. I also like it with the paint at the bottom, not a huge difference but a nice little touch that gives more class to what I presume is supposed to be a "sportier" look of all black? Either way, I dig it and if I do any more additional mods to my car, that will be next!

you can get tint spray from autozone. I use that on mine. Comes right off with lacquer thinner and anyone can do it as long you tape it up nicely.
