Just look at the ones being sold on Ebay. Most have probably been stolen.

OMG

Unbeleivable the price they get for replacement parts on these cars. I would be currious to know what an E class would cost in "Parts"??

Probably around $500k

just reading the forums, same situation although the "thief" stole the left only and broke the glass. you can see some shattered on the ground, so called the dealer and was $650 for a left mirror only. daaaayuuuuum !!

I had no idea they could just steal the glass in the side mirrors. I was worried about how easy the star in the grill is removed. Just another thing to worry when you park the car. Sorry for what happened to you.

That's terrible that some people would do that. At least it should be a simple repair if nothing was broken in the housing when they removed it.

I recall an older BMW I had with side mirror glass that just popped out and the connector was easy to detach.

Sucks man, I feel for you. These things just shouldn't happen.
