Is this to mean that what you've described actually *happened* to you? If so,exactly what were you driving and how was it equipped? I have mbrace and Distronic Plus and have been curious about what,if anything, they'd actually do (real world) in a serious accident.
Yes, it that is an account of what happened to me in my 2010 E550 sedan one week after I picked it up from the dealer. The options were P2 package and distronic plus.
Since it was a rear collision only, the distronic plus had no part in the accident.
The seatbelt ETR (emergency tension R-something) activated at all seats. Both neck-pro headrests deployed. Emergency flashers automatically go on. An emergency mbrace/teleaid call is automatically made - and they know where you are from your cars gps.
Wow, glad to hear that the car protected you like that. Crazy story. I take it that car was totaled? Or did you get it repaired?
It was 13-17k worth of damage. That would total any other car but it was so new and with a sticker in the upper 60's, it didn't qualify for totaling mine.
