Curb Rash!!

AF330i, thanks! Not sure if you have the stock rims. If so, curb rash time?
K-A, I thought I was the only one OCD about how and where I park my car. That's exactly how I got my curb rash... doing OCD kinds of stuff like parking too close to the curb.
Paulybagadonuts and Dema, as I understand, there are two ways to fix curb rash. The cheap ($50 to $75) and easy way is they spot repair the damage which means there is a possibility of color mis-match. There are mobile vendors that will meet you at your home to do the job. The "right" way is full repair (about $200) where they remove your wheel, repair scratches, and paint the whole wheel. This is a two day process. I've never had either since I ended up upgrading to aftermarket 19" wheels after getting curb rash on three of my wheels. Good luck!

What has helped me prevent curb rash is to turn the steering wheel all the way to the lock as you approach the curb. That way the rubber of the tire hits the curb before the wheel does. As long as you cut it soon enough. So far it has worked for me.
