Black Ash Wood Grain Trim

Does anyone have pictures of the black ash interior trim with black interior--leather or MB Tex?

Dealers tell me MB Tex is stronger and outlast leather. I don't know what to believe. What is your opinion?

If you could show me the entire interior or as much as you can of the interior, that would be awesome. Thank you!!!

A buddy of mine loves his MB Tex interior. It does outlast leather and looks just like it. I can't tell the difference. We are both gym rats, so picture jumping your sweaty butt in a leather seat after an hour of cardio everyday for a few months. That would probably ruin your seats. This has not been the case.

I ordered my E-350 Black on Black MB Tex with black ash wood grain. I know I don't want brown grain in my black on black MB. I just have never seen it. Everyone I know has the brown wood grain, and I just don't feel it.

Thanks to anyone who posts interior pics for me.

Photos may not do it justice. The grain is so tight and subtle that in most lighting conditions the wood appears as piano black. But when the light is just right, the grain shows as gold threads in the wood. Much more subtle and elegant than the burl walnut, IMHO.

Regards,
Don

Ditto. The Burl wood is cheap looking comparatively while the black is classy and sporty at the same time in my opinion.

I normally like burl walnut over anything but Mercedes knows how to make more attractive wood trims besides burl

Definitely true. Also, for me it's gotta be BURL all the way baby.

As for the MB Tex having just gone through a quick survey of about 50 cars as I considered replacing mine. I looked at LOTS of leather in 1-2 yr old mercedes. I can't tell if they just didn't take care of their leather as well as I would have but the cars with Leather showed wear in as little as a year while MB Tex looked practically brand new in every car I saw it in.
Keep in mind I restricted my survey to 2010-2012 but I was impressed how poorly the supposedly nicer leather upgrade weathered when compared to MB Tex.
just my 2 cents

AWESOME. Thank you. I had no idea that the "grain" came off as gold. That is sweet! I am going to love this. COUNTDOWN TO February 5th!

When I ordered my car, the burl walnut was not available so I had to get black ash. My wife and I really like it and prefer it over the walnut. Interior looks very classy. We would have even like the steering wheel with wood/leather too but then I lose the heated feature.
