22.3 mpg on a trip to fla
The avg speed was 76mph,,total miles was 1198 in 16.55 hrs from NYC.The key was zooming by DC before the rush hr,,easily done ,,but %$#@& speed camera in MD went off,,so they got me for $40.Bastages.
Meanwhile the Bel rx 65 chirped before hand warning me,and I was wondering wtf it was trying to say.(just got it so I wasnt too familiar with it)
I was pleased with the ride, the mileage was obviously less than I got with the lighter 210 but still acceptable, and the XM radio was fantastic all nite n day long.Super trip, the experience was gratifying because the car was at its best at 80 and up.

Nice trip! Was it the stupid mobile white Jeep speed camera that got you? No points at least!
Last time I did the DC-FL trip was in college in a VW Jetta lol. Would love to do it again in the E but will probably be a few years until my son is older and the ML would be the wife's practical choice though not as efficient time wise

Yeah, unfortunately the MPG on Interstate trips with lots of dips and hills isn't that great on these E350's. On the other hand, I can't think of a better car to spend all that time in (I've done tons of long distance in my E's, and it's such a pleasurable and secure feeling on said trips). You know it's designed with German Highways in mind because the car indeed feels its peppiest and most confident when above 80, not to mention it starts getting right in the thick of its powerband.

A great trip indeed. Did the same trip in my Bluetec (Central PA to south Florida) on less than a tank and a half. No issues with mpg with the Bluetec.

Recently,on an 800 mile stretch of I-95 from PA to GA (light traffic, clear sailing the whole way),I got 37.5mpg at a steady 70mph.And that's using fillup to fillup method of calculation. The trip computer read something like 42mpg for the same stretch.

My computer is always about 5mpg off from the fill up method somehow, I reset the trip and reset the computer function at each fill up. Not sure why Mercedes can't get that to work right?

There was a bogus constuction zone with lites for the workers,,who were absent, and I believe the flash came from overhead,,but the view of me going 78 in a 55 was from the side.

Not sure 'bout the mileage but it really starts feeling good at 100+. Have not done that here in the States but regularly on the Autobahn.

Yes,yes and hell yes.I had an opportunity to cruise at 95 on a stretch of I95 for 90 minutes( north of Jacksonville into Georgia),no one but me and the far off distant truckers I was overtaking.Sure it was 430am but I was transfixed to the rythym of those crazy glowing lane markers, but it was seemless, smooth and controlled. Not how fast you drive, how you drive fast
