Auto shifting problem?

Any of you ever mash the gas and it seems that it revs up too high and doesn't auto shift to the next gear a bit earlier like it's supposed to?

I hear it revving at top end and usually end up letting up on the gas a bit to wait for the shift...

I have had this concern in my AMG, I just attribute it to my lack of knowing how to drive it perfectly.....I'm still learning, but 4th gear holds for a really long time.....

Just hold the peddle down and if you don't see a piston come through the hood, Your all good.....lol, Just kidding. Never heard of that before though. Does it do it if you paddle shift it?

It shouldn't be a problem for yours or mine...

Doesn't happen with paddles as I am manually shifting it and telling it when to shift.

Just when I let it auto shift which is usually all the time. Afraid the piston would come through the hood is the reason why I back off the peddle a bit to let it shift.

I was just wondering about paddle shifting because sometimes the tranny shifts slow even when you use them, kinda delayed. Is there any way to check your fluid?

Try getting back on the throttle hard and quickly after tapping the paddle. If you time it just right it shifts much more quickly. I'm gonna mention Sprint Booster here only because I have one on another car and it eliminates that lag significantly. I know alot of people will question SB so just info. Don't want to start anything.

Don't think mine does that but I don't mash it down too often. Seems that whenever I do, the Tranny responds pretty peppily, with the occasional lazy "wake up" if I've been Granny'ing it for too long (learns your driving style).
