@illmike: are they tinted or clear? It's a bit hard to tell from pictures. There is video on YouTube of someone showing these lights and the guys says they are tinted but it wasn't clear whether he tinted them or they come tinted from MB. Could you please clarify?

they are clear w/a black trim that outlines the outer part. inside there are chrome gaps that give it a darker effect. the whole thing is LED, bottom red part is a reflector.

A quick pic of what it looks on mine. I love the LED's on this thing. It does have a subtle tint that I like because it goes perfectly with the black roof. Don't have time to take more pics now but hopefully tomorrow.

NICE, I like them. If I get them I will probably smoke out the red reflector, Probably look good on your car too, more black to go with the roof. How much did you end up spending on them? And what exhaust do you have?

I picked up a set this morning from my dealer and installed them on my white E350. They look stunning (pictures will follow) and complement panorama roof really well. The installation was very easy and took less than one hour.

Just took some photos this morning:
LEDs ON
Another one with LEDs ON
In bright California sun:
There is a very subtle tint on these. This is how they come from MB.
Comments?

I don't think you need to worry about the honda look either because it's an MB you know?
someone mentioned it being kind of honda-ish or oriental-ish......(ricey{racist})
but it does work very well IMO with the color, hell, what color do you suppose it wouldn't look good on? yellow maybe?
of course if I saw a yellow E class I would be so baffled I probably wouldn't notice the tail lights......
you did nix the side markers though right?

by the way, the only tool needed to make this modification is a small 8mm wrench. It's very easy to do and is definitely one of those DIY projects.
