I bought the MB rubber insert for the ashtray but it does not fit correctly on a 2014 E350 sedan. It leaves gaps and just does not look correct. See the other post for ashtray insert and you can see what I did instead

Sorry I gave out the wrong number at first. The ash tray delete for 212 E Class (not 100% sure if the E63 is the same or different from other models is 212 680 53 50 and comes with the rubber mat. This is a complete ash tray replacement mechanism that replaces the cigarette plug and ashtray for a 12V flap and rubber mat storage compartment. I ordered it from Europe- not sure if this part is blocked for the US dealer network.

You can simply replace ashtray with truss (part 2046830594 or 2126890196), and lighter with 12v socket (0008204951).

Now that I have received this part... the above number is NOT correct. That number is the rubber part that goes under the cup holders.

15 minutes, some black felt padding and I was in business. Popped the chrome trim, then cut 3 pieces of the felt, one piece for front/bottom/rear slope, the 2 pieces for each of the sides. Made sure all of the edges were clean and butted up nicely to each other.
Some dabs of glue gel and the result was suitable for a MB interior

Checked EPC only 2126890096 is listed for MBUSA in other markets both 2046830594 http://www.ecstuning.com/ES1739730/ and 2126890196 http://www.ecstuning.com/ES1845818/ come up for 212 (same diagram # 520) this is what caused confusion. 0594 is shown in previous ecstuning link, 0196 shown below. Lighter is 540, replacement socket 530.

To clarify, 0594 is the correct one for a N. American W212 because it's not as wide. Right?

EDIT: Yes, Merc p/n "A 204 683 05 94" is a perfect fit for my car. Thanks everyone for the suggestion and ECS for having it available!

the rubber part is not a very elegant solution IMO.
it fit perfect in my C-class & E coupe, but for the sedan it doesn't really have the right shape.

easiest solution is like Mud says: just pop the the chrome trim on the ashtray & voilla!

This is what I got for my E63. Keep in mind the E63 console may be different from non AMGs (since AMG has the shifter in the console).

Where did you source, what part number, and cost? My guess is that the non-AMG cars use a different part.
Perhaps Konigstiger might chime in, if he has that info.

2126805350 is not listed for non-AMG 212, part # shows as 2126805750 replaced by 2126809950 (500 in post 33 diagram) shown here http://www.braun-teile-shop.de/innen...garde/a-15361/ - available through sponsor http://www.ecstuning.com/ES2761352/ & http://www.oediscountparts.com/partl...?siteid=215242 ($151.50/free shipping – enter part #).

Just wanted to confirm that Merc p/n "A 204 683 05 94" is a perfect fit for my N. American 2012 W212 E550 sedan.

Looks just like the pics from HBerman and tjkaz posted in this thread.

Thanks everyone for the suggestion and ECS for having it available!

Hello, I'm new to this site and i love all the things I'm learning from DIY to hacks...

Just want to post what i did as replacement of the Ash Tray. i made my custom iPhone Holder and a charger for my W212. I wish the plug and cable are both black but this sits perfectly on the slot where the ashtray is. I put a velcro at the bottom to make it stable and does not wiggle around.

It costs me 15$, 10$ for the cradle and 5$ for the cable and USB plug...

Didn't Fit

I purchased part# A 204 683 05 94 from ECS for my 2015 E350 and it doesn't fit into the ash tray. It's a little too wide and trimming is not an option. Made a template and put the adhesive backed felt and it's a keeper.

If you read prior posts you will see that part# A 204 683 05 94 does not fit properly on the 2014 e350 models and newer models of the E350. Why bother spending the money when it does not fit properly.

I received the correct part for the rubber mat and I'm my opinion it just doesn't fill the space correctly. So I finally took the advise of others and removed the chrome lid from the ashtray and I think this fits and looks like it belongs better than the rubber mat. I have attached a few pictures to help you make your own decision.

Older thread but asking for a 2014 E63s:

Seems like Part number: 204 683 05 94 is NOT the to get as it does not fit right.

Rather purchase the entire replacement part which includes the 12v power and matt with assembly as stated by XXGenericSNXX: Part: 212 680 53 50

Do I have that correct.

Thanks,
-Nigel

Was MB 2009 E350 AWD. Now 2016 MB E350 AWD
i'm trying to remember this older topic so just reviewed it from the 1st post.

Why go through all this trouble with a complete new part that has a very small storage compartment area?

why not take the cigarette trim off the try like i did. ...or better yet, remove the cigarette tray entirely and put a custom cut flat rubber floor piece in there? if you did the latter, you would have so much more space for house keys, phone, wallet, etc... amazon resellers sell flat rubber mats that have nice grip on the bottom and decent textures on the top to keep things from moving around or making noise when driving in corners and over bumps.
