20" S-Class Wheels on W212...will they fit?
First post guys, so please go easy on me
I just bought these wheels and tires off a guy here in Dubai for cheap ($950).
They came straight off his S-Class and I was planning to put them on a 2010 E550.
They are staggered and appear to be 20x8.5 in the front shod with 255/35 tires and 20x9.5 shod with 265/35 tires in the rear.
Will these fit without issue or will I need to go with lower profile tires, or worse, will they not fit at all?
Thanks!

S class offsets should not be a problem.
You might have a problem with the tires... Think u need to go with a lower profile... Something like 35 front 30 back or maybe even 30 front 25 back.

You described the rears as being "a little aggressive". If you could do it again, would you be running 265's in the rear?
I am running stock suspension and no spacers. Sounds like I don't need any?
I am going to order the tires in the morning.
I believe Yokohama Advan Sports in 235/35/20 and 265/30/20 should be readily available. I recently put them on my Maserati Gransport and am happy with them so far (235/35/19 and 265/30/19).

welcome abroad! you are one brave man! you bought them before even knowing they'll fit or not. i guess if the tires won't fit you still can sell them. one of the members just bought a set like this or very similar recently.

I figured out from various sources that 20x8.5 and 20x9.5 were being offered on the W212 by aftermarket sources, but I was running blind regarding offsets...but I think I made out ok for $950 for original 20" AMG rims, no? I know the current used tires are not useable, but as you said I might find someone to buy 'em off me, but not too concerned about that...at least the rims fit!

Rear - 265/30 or 275/30 is up to you (I use 265/30 while just about everyone else here use 275/30 and few even 285/30).
No spacers for rear. For front, you can use 5mm if you want to (to make it et30), but it is not required.

I highly doubt those are OEM wheels: Mercedes does not "make" (or source as OEM) any wheels in those sizes with offsets of et35 that I know of. Et35 is a very popular aftermarket offset for MBs as it fits a great majority of MB cars.

Will post pics when done, probably Thursday or Friday.
The wheels are embossed at the back that they are made in Germany. Are the replicas also made in Germany?

My local tire and rim guy and Tire Rack's website both suggest 245/30 and 285/25 for front and rear, respectively. I got these as "recommended size" when configuring an aftermarket setup on the E550 with a similar staggered setup on Tire Rack's website.
Thoughts? Does 285 seem too wide for a 9.5 rim? and will it stick out a lot from the fender?
They are able to get Nitto Invo's anybody on here run them before? Thoughts on Nitto?
Thanks for all the helpful advice!

This is what the inside of the rim looks like. I didn't find any clear part # anywhere. You can clearly see the "made in germany" stamp, the offset of 35, and the rim weight, and some other fuzzy stuff.
Don't the replica's usually not have AMG stamped on the front? These do. I'm not sure, just asking.

Pics
As promised.
Wheels ended up being copies...not the real deal...oh well, they look good
Also had some bits painted and wrapped black (grill, mirrors, rear star, removed E550, deleted all chrome with gloss black wrap to compliment pano roof, rear diffuser, and exhaust tips painted matte black) and had faded interior wood wrapped with a tasty brushed silver (it is textured) and centre console in gloss black, oh and high quality tints on windows and rear brake lights...and removed chrome door strips.
Why do I feel the car looks like it is riding on stilts despite the 20s?

clmulli, are you on stock springs? It looks really flush on yours and no nasty gaps.
Would you say I need to drop 1-1.5"? I also don't want to look slammed, something close to a sporty OEM look.

Yea I'm on stocks. Now that I have the Vossens with the correct offset I may lower with H&R springs. Not sure yet. Don't want to deal with the camber issues and tire wear. But some experts on here will give you some recommendations on lowering or not.

Yeah, the stance looks off now that it's raised up. I also think the wheels are sticking out too much at the rear, but the drop could fix that.
