2010 E350 SPORT

Afternoon all looking to replace my 1999 STS Caddy with a 2010 E350 came across this the other day went in saw it pretty stunning car. http://www.waltsmb.com/certified/Mer...8f7b6fc37f.htm

I think I can get another 1k to 2k OFF warranty is till 12/2014 100k miles.
Looks like a decent replacement for the Caddy. I am already a Owner of a Benz and just looking to add to the family. Any info would be great.

Thanks

Peace

I love my 2010 E350! Mine is similarly equipt to yours except with "real" leather interior and a different steering wheel. IMO, the older 3.5 V6 is much smoother than the new direct injection engine, plus its torque curve is smoother...despite the fact that it makes less power.

I say go for it! Not really digging the chromed AMG wheels but still nice

Since Cadillac stopped making cars since 1996 , you will be happy with your pick

Hey, as an alternative you can also try Design Wheels

Interesting comments about the 2011 V6 smoothness VS the 2012's. Did you notice this after driving the 2012?

K-A, I drove the new DFI engine in a coupe and you feel the difference. I think it is a superior performing engine in power and fuel efficiency.

I drove it too. Yeah I liked it as well, Felt similar to the older V6 but more sprightly and a little more oomph. I thought it felt plenty smooth as well, though the older one is very smooth as well. Only thing I really didn't like is the sound at idle (Diesel like tick).

Yes, I also found the comment on the 2010 V6 vs newer 2012 DFI mentioned earlier by ferrariyellow44 interesting as well, but I was on my smartphone in between innings @ my son's little league game, so I didn't have time to respond. So, now that I'm on the laptop, ferrariyellow44, allow me to engage...what exactly do you mean by the older engine being "smoother" than the newer DFI and how is the torque curve so much "smoother" that you would notice such a difference? I own the newer DFI and when I call upon the horses, before I know it I'm above 80mph w/o even noticing that I'm going that fast...effortless; and it really felt like I was still going 50mph, no joke! Umm...you REALLY can't ask for any smoother than that...? Seems @ least one of the resident M-B SMEs referenced above thinks so too! You have some 'splainin' to do!

Great color combination! Love the light colored interior and the brown wood.

I too am not digging the chrome wheels but if you like them, that's what matters.

I noticed the car does not have 4MATIC so just wanted to make sure you don't expect to be driving in adverse/slippery weather.

Yeah, I mean for the record though, I'm not doubting him or mocking him for saying it, just curious as to some specifics on how he felt between the two. I would love for the 2011 to be more smooth.

Really, I felt the 2012 during normal driving felt like my 2011, if you pay close attention, you notice a little bit of a lighter feel, and when I gunned it, I felt those extra 30 ponies pushing the car a little more aggressively. I feel both engines are so smooth, they're very comparable, though now I kind of want to really pay attention and drive the hell out of a 2012 to draw some more direct conclusions.

Yea I am with Both of you who mentioned the chrome wheels They goota go.. It maybe possible I can get the guy to them to change the wheels out.

Other than that really no need for 4matic I live in sunny San Diego. Thanks for the schooling on the year difference's guys. More than likely this will be my daily drive as I don't drive my CLK to much except on the weekend's. Wife drives the Jeep most of the time due to her Ebay business.

+1 coming from my coupe. Smooth as silk at all times. First time I drove it and stopped at a traffic light, I literally thought the engine had died!

The ticking can be disconcerting at first, but is totally inaudible at all times inside mine.

Comparing mine to the previous powertrain, I find the tweaked Plus transmission in the '12 helps too, re responsiveness over a broader range of everyday driving speeds, again at least as far as the C207 goes. Haven't driven a sedan....yet. I expect it's similar, modified perhaps by the more substantial size and weight.

Sure thing! Of course I was just messing around w/ my last statement... But, really? How can the older engine feel "smoother" than the newer one...never knew a car manufacturer as reputable as M-B to regress when it comes to engineering new motors. Sure, there may be some kinks along the way, especially w/ new chassis/design overhauls/redesigns, etc...but, actually "smoother"? I can barely even feel my E "get up and go" such as when a muscle car would give plenty of feedback when pushing it--pure raw power in that case (and you know and feel it!). My E feels flawlessly sequenced in every phase of calling up power. True definition of "smooth"... Was the older engine really better? Just sayin'...
