Red Calipres or caliper upgrade or paint?
Refering to this threat you kindly helped on
https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...ls-show-2.html
I wanted to upgrade my calipers or paint them red. As they have gone rusty.
I have seen AMG calipers on previous non AMG Mercedes models but not for the current model.
Any advice or tips or links?

Google caliper paint and you'll find a lot of links such as this one.

Google," MGP caliper covers", just an alternative to painting and can be removed for resale so the car will look stock.

Caliper Paint
Just my 2cents, but any color other than black or silver on brake calipers should be reserved for hi-performance brakes/vehicles. I would stick with either black or silver. The caliper paint you are looking for is G2 Brake Caliper paint...I've used it on my Lexus before and it is very good stuff.

Interesting question.
There are plastic coves that snap on over the caliper but having come from an industry on the supply side of appearance objects, the ones I see tell me the red pigments in them are cheap and they have poor light and heat stability. They end up pale, chalky pink with yellow tinges at the hot spots in very short time.
I have painted the fronts on my SLK320 using Duplicolor Caliper paint.
I wire brushed and sanded them, washed them carefully with brake cleaner, masked where I needed to and painted them red.
So far they are looking OK. They get dusty from the brake pads of course and that darkens them until the next wash but at $25 for the kit big enough to do all four wheels it is worth the experiment. I haven't done the rears yet. Don't want to rush into things.
