i just got my 2012 e350 p1 / p2 and i can not figure out how to charge my cell phone with the doors locked. the car won't let me lock the doors while the motor is running - which i like to do in the winter or when i am charging my cell phone. for example - i'm at dinner after a long day and my cell does not have enough juice to make it through the rest of the night- i like to go out to the car hook up my cell to charge it lock the doors for 20 - 30 minutes then come back out during dinner and grab it. i also tried hitting the start button once to turn on the radio charger etc, but as soon as you lock the doors it appears to auto turn off everything.

does anyone know if there are any chargers in the car, like the one in the trunk maybe that get power when the doors are locked? or does anyone know of a mod that allows you to lock the car while the motor is running??

Did you try turning all the electronics on (without the motor on), then locking the doors with the auto-lock button, opening your driver door, pushing the lock pin down, and closing it? Don't see why that shouldn't work.

Wish it was that easy for me... I work in IT department and have to have it on me 24/7. Cool part about it I get the latest and greatest with unlimited everything. Part that sucks I almost have to sleep with it… That didn’t sound right, did it?
If I don’t answer after the second ring people get really cranky around here…

I use this. Keeps charging while car is off. Keep it plugged in while driving and you will never run out of power. Mobile enought to to take with you if you need to...
