Possible to Upgrade 2012 COMAND to New 2013 COMAND?
I know that the 2013's will come with a new color scheme in the COMAND and IC displays and the owner's manual will now be digitalized.
On my 2011, I have NTG4.5, which is the same system on the 2012's and 2013's. Does this mean I can upgrade the Comand Software to get the new color scheme and owner's manual?
Does anyone know? I would love to upgrade it once the 2013's are out!

In E class is it not the same? I understood E got the color upgrade in 12 maybe it was the new C. If not color now most don't think it can be done. But like one guy said if u throw enough money at something it can be done

I think you guys are misunderstanding what he is saying is that the color scheme is changing for the 2013 E Class and that his 2011 already has a color display, not that he is going to change his non-color display to a color one via a software upgrade.

Exactly! The new 2013 now has a black/silver coloring theme in COMAND and in the color Instrument Cluster that replaced the current yellow/brown color scheme.

That video has an overall gray look to it... dunno if that it accurately portrays the COMAND color scheme.

They are talking that one and the Navi. I think there is more involved. There is a big differance between an 8 color LCD and a full VGA. Good luck hope I'm wrong :o)

Yes, that overall gray look is indeed the new color scheme. I saw a dealer ordering guide for some Benz model (I forget, but it was a canadian one) and this is the new modern interface that will be standard on most 2013 benzes. After 4 Benzes with the same brownish/yellowish display, it would be nice to switch it up a bit!!!
