Did I get a good deal? 2012 e350 4matic

Just signed the paperwork to trade the my white 11' e3504m for a 12' e3504m black on black. They did not have the car and had to pull it from an MB dealership in Boston. I was one month shy of the pull ahead so the dealership ate one payment of $622.89 on my 2011. For the 2012 with p2, panorama, wheel package, lane tracking, split rear seats, spoiler, MSRP $63,755. I got 24 months 10k per year $664 per month with a little over $1,800 up front which was 1st month, bank fee, and dmv out of pocket. The transaction price was 54k and change if I'm not mistaken. I know it is a little more than I was paying for my 11' (MSRP of 58,900) but for the same exact features plus p2 and lane tracking I think the extra 40 per month is worth it. What do you guys think?

It's a good deal if you like the new car.

If you didn't like it but got it for less would that matter?

compare to the bluetec deals, i think this one isn't that great. but it's a different car. so i better compare apple to apple. i haven't leased a car before and not sure the monthly payment is good or not. but based on the msrp, yours is about $9k off which i think you can do slightly better as 2013 models are coming very soon. however, don't get discourage but this. i could be wrong. also your dealer didn't have the car that you like and had to transfer one from the other dealer. this could affect the deal bit. the biggest deal you have now is you are walking away w/a brand spanking new 2012 w/p2, lane tracking and big smile .

Thanks guys, The 12' Bluetec would have been a great choice as the 24 month rates are killer right now. The only problem is that the inventory is completely dried up so finding a black/black p2 bluetec would have been a nearly impossble. finding a black/black p2 gasoline was hard enough. Also, 4matic is a necessity living in NYC, and I really didn't want to lose the AMG wheel package and steering wheel, as the only bluetecs they had in the dealership have the old recycled steering wheel that I had in my 09' ML. The problem I saw with waiting for the 13's is that usually the bank will want to push 36 or 39 month leases on the new model year and 24 months is my MAX seeing that the 14' will be a new design. Anyone who can find a bluetec that they like should jump on it as you can get a 24 month lease in the low to mid 500's now

Seems like a great deal.

I had the dealership in Northern VA pull me forward 12 payments 33 month @ 10k a year 749 a month. Nothing down.

PS I got the P2 package, sport/wheel package w/ 4matic

Seriously. M-B is seemingly trying to push the E downmarket not by MSRP, but by various forms of discounting.

Try finding a 2012 with leather in dealers' inventories. The cast majority on the Northeast are MB-Tex/Artico. It seems that MB-Tex is the defualt even on E350s costing over $64,000.

I have done this same thing before and it worked out well for me. I would not think that the best deal would be 24 months, usually the sweet spot is 36or 39 months, but there are clearly other factors that drove your decision.

I also realize that the number of miles per year does change the monthly payments, again my choice has always been for 12k per year. Now if you use public transportation or live close to work then the 10k per year makes perfect sense.

Good luck.

If you have extra cash that you can use, consider the one pay option. I leased a new E350 4matic on May 31st and the one pay reduced my equivalent monthly payment by almost $100. This was a 12% return on my money. And there is no risk with one pay. It is not a down payment but rather a prepayment of future lease payments. Big difference.

That's because most mercedes buyers have discovered that MBTex is a better/longer lasting and more comfortable seat covering. The only reason I would consider leather is because it's required for the seat ventilation feature. I know this flies in the face of "luxury cars" and egos, but give it a try....you'll join the rest of us that now just save money and are more comfortable.

I've never considered one pay because I thought it was considered a down payment. If, indeed, it is prepayment and they can't use it to fill any "gap" if the car is totalled or stolen, I might just do one pay next time.

Ok, over the need for leather interior and willing to go with MB-tex. Now, I just need to get rid of the 2011. Anyone interested in a 2011 E350 4Matic, P1, leather, folding rear seats, rear spoiler and tinting for $588 a month no money down for a remaining 27 months and 21,000 miles? Lease ends March 21, 2014 and transfer fees/credit app is around $600. This is based on CT use tax rates (it's $549.67 per month before taxes). Black with Natural Beige Sport model.

I agree. The ONLY flaw to MB Tex/Vinyl that I can think of, is not the material quality or feel or comfort.... far from it.... it's the smell. It doesn't smell "bad" by any means, but doesn't smell as rich as cow death.... err... leather. I'm a sucker for that smell.

Problem with leather, is it smells like literal death after a while, especially if you don't take care of it (cars with older leather give me massive headaches), so I guess even there, MB Tex may not be behind.
