audio xcellence does it again....
decided to upgrade the audio on the w212...took it over to my friend sam over at audio xcellence in city of industry for him to work his magic.
went with all JL Audio...
JL ZR650 w.factory 3.5" for the front
JL ZR650 for the rears
2x JL W7 for the Subs
JL 1000.1
JL 300.4
thought i share his work since i haven't seen to many custom setups for this car.

although the glossy black finish doesn't match the wood grain as much, the whole darn thing is freaking amazing and the trunk is really bad a$$$$$ !!! i would need another car just for grocery shopping or any shopping in this case. i'll never put anything in the trunk !

Yeah, thought that was kinda off too! He should've maybe leather-wrapped the speakers like he did the trunk subs and included some type of cool looking mesh to protect the cones; never know what a girl is going to do when she gets REAL comfortable or "happy"! Otherwise, nice!

I know I'm a 50 year old-fart, but I just can't comprehend why you would screw up a perfectly good car by doing this.
1. You wreck the clean look of the insides
2. You destroy the usefulness of the trunk
and
3. My Harmon-Kardon system is terrific.

pretty nice setup! you were showing at HIN yesterday right?
if you dont mind me asking, about how much does he charge to do the trunk setup without the components?

Amazing quality setup it looks like, but I'm just not a fan of the looks of the speakers from the inside. I kept looking for pics where the speakers would get "finished"/covered up, until reading the comments and realizing that's how they're supposed to look.
The box setup looks show worthy. I used to have floor built 15" sub in my Mustang, and it was bangin' enough to practically rattle that car apart. Only issue with your setup is you now have a 4 Door Luxury Sedan with no trunk. That's probably about $5K worth of what Mercedes charges you for the car right there. Lol.

I've never understood the need to put such large sound systems in cars, especially not in luxury sedans. Mercedes aren't tacky low riders that you cruse around in blasting music to **** off everyone around you. So why take up half the trunk, ruin the look of the interior, and blow thousands of dollars doing it?

The gloss black matches his Black ash trim. However I am not a fan of the interior speakers... The interior looks like a downgrade, but I love the trunk. I would want to do something like that to my trunk if I ever planned to keep a car long enough.

You can get a ricer out of the person but you can't take the BOOM BOX out of the non educated classless population. Very cheesy.

This car has a cool exterior , I know this badass car has got clear LED tail lights as well
If I was an audio enthusiast I would definitely would like to have a similar set up , good job matching up the wood trim as well
So much work and effort put in there with satisfaying results

The only problem with subwoofers in the sense of making someone "classless" is how utterly annoying it is to everyone around them. I know this because I used to be that guy and know how much I pissed people off when my subs were vibrating all the cars around me. It's like a Harley rider.... it sounds annoying to EVERYONE but them, though they somehow think that everyone's impressed.
On another note, I appreciate good audio, and if you don't value your long term hearing too much, being in a car with a clean, crisp, booming, dynamic sound system is an experience (one that got old after several years to me, however, but I'm around loud music all the time, so my car naturally has shifted to being more of a chill haven sometimes) on its own.
Basically to sum it up, it's annoying and sounds annoyingly like crap to people outside (especially when all you hear are the rattles), but if you like big booming audio, it's the only way to get it (big box in the trunk).
