Bumperplugs installed, no front plate holes!!!
Unfortunately I was blessed with the bad luck of the dealer installing a front plate bracket. This left me with not 2, but 4 holes drilled into the front bumper. Last time this had happened to me I paid $400 for a body shop to plug them up & repaint the entire bumper. Not wanting to pay that again, I searched around the forum and found bumperplugs.com. All the plugs are color-matched & install was easy. Had to drill the holes with a 1/4" bit as recommended by the instructions for them to install properly & after that just push them in with the palm of your had. Here are some pics.

2010 E350 Luxury Sedan, Engine 272 (V6)
Looks nice. I made it clear when I got my car - no holes in front bumper or no sale. Fortunately, most new car dealers around here no longer drill holes in front bumper for their free advertising plates.
Ironically, my dealer did not put anything on my car. They do have a rear plate frame, but switched out the persoanlized one from my trade-in instead of using theirs.

Holes in my new E-350 bumper
I wanted a 2013 E-350 Luxury with black leather lane tracking par assist premium 1 keyless split folding and a few others in iridium silver. There was only 2 cars shipped to N America with exactly what i wanted. i gave the dealer a deposit and he brought one to pennsylvania. Well doesnt it have that obnoxious front license plate holder drilled onto the front and the holes are misaligned.
This is so so ugly.
i will order bumper plugs for now as i also can not stand the ideal of paint work on a brand new 65k car.
I fault mercedes for this as they should have a no drill system for this problem and they should instruct all dealers not to install any front plates in any state un til car is sold and being prep for delivery.

Great post, thanks so much. Just took delivery on a beautiful palladium silver E350, loaded. Like Joe I had to get it shipped from California to FL to find precisely what I was looking for. Only for it to arrive with a fat dealer plate nailed to the front of it. Just placed my order. Saved me from the paint shop.
Bumper plugs website was easy and straight forward.
