What's up everyone. Newbie here, and proud owner of a new 550C. Planning on ECU tuning after breaking her 1k mark. Considering renntech.. Any other tune suggestions?? Thank you for having me

Forgot to add the E. its the E550C.. I posted 2 picks, you should be able to see. Any thoughts on 20" HRE's?? Would i be sacrificing to much performance? Are they heavier than the 18" AMG wheels?? Thanks again

Do you real drive a Prius?

 

A Prius averages a combined 50 mpg. That's how you save up to get a Benz.

 

Do you know in Germany they rank cars on their total carbon foot print. That is total environmental impact from manufacturing to recycling all components and fuel used during its life cycle. A S series Mercedes is ranks higher then a Prius. Batteries use nickel and lithium, both the worst polluting minerals to mine,refine and dispose of in the world.

 

All the more reason to move from the little Toyota to a Merc.

 

that could also be the reason why they use mercedes as taxi.

Turborawdowg, since you bought aE550 c I suggest you get a Renntech or kleeman tune. After driving your new MB I really hope you get rid of that road hazard Prius. If you need more gas money forgo Starbucks to save a few bucks for gas money.

Drive a VW diesel,get about the same mileage and have enough torque to get out of your own way.Drive an E Class diesel,get fairly close to that,and.......

 

The new Prius' are actually super comfortable. Not my bag or a hot design to my tastes by any means, but no hate here.

 

I don't care if the prius gets 75 miles to ther gallon........I wouldn't be caught in one

 

+ 1. I would gladly give up a couple mpg and drive a Jetta TDI over any of the Prius mutations. I still wonder where they are going to bury all of those batteries when they are dead. The hybrids are the dirtiest cars for the environment when you factor in the battery manufacture and disposal.

Nice! I average around 40-42 in my smart.

 

I'm almost certain that in Britain the amount of "pollution" a particular car emits determines the amount of tax you pay,etc.Kind of a built in "carbon tax".There may,or may not,be some sort of master list but I'll bet if you go to Smart's UK website you'll get some kind of idea.

In Detroit last January Mercedes displayed a diesel hybrid version of the E Class that was due to soon be offered in Europe.It had a figure plastered all over it boasting of its low emmisions...I think it was just over 100 something or others.Maybe use that as a benchmark to which you can compare your Smart.

 

I would not mind MB- developing Chevy Volt-like full electric with a small 1 liter diesel driving the generator. A C class would be a nice platform for this. That would be sweet.

 

I make great Cuban coffe.. Known as an Espresso @ Starbucks, and taste much better too!
