It is actually a 3 month subscription that automatically renews.
And they charge HUGE money for it because you're in an M-B.
I pay $79/year for my Honda and they wouldn't even come close to that on my 350. So, I stream Pandora for free and only took the traffic on this car.

Call them and cancel it. Sirius is the biggest rip off. They will also try to convince you to stay with the service. They try all kinds of tricks, giving you free service for x number of months etc. The catch is you MUST call to cancel and if you don’t you are charged.
Do yourself a favor, sign up for Spotify, download your preferred music to your favorite device and enable Bluetooth Audio. You get to listen to what you want at less cost and, it sounds a lot better.

It's 6 months. You might want to check your credit cards to see if they've recently charged you,I think that they do that automatically if you don't call to cancel.I like Sirius but am very price conscious with it...I'll pay "X" but not "X plus one penny".In fact I need to call them to see what I can get now...you just call to cancel and they transfer you to the "retention" department and *they* often offer you a pretty good deal (6 months ago I got 6 months for $29).

If you don't renew, they'll send you letters saying that they'll give it to you for ridiculously cheap prices. I got one that amounted to like $3 a month. Still didn't sign up for it, though I do like the service. If I start driving my car long distance regularly again, I'll probably use one of those codes and re-sign.
I'm going to cancel my free-ness and see what they do lol
they told me I have no account so it will turn off by itself....
we'll see

I noticed it stayed on a few days past 6 months. They shouldn't bill you unless you gave them a credit card for some reason. I had an existing account already and it didn't link or anything. I have been getting 50% off each year since 2009 on the ML, which is about $80 a year. They did the same on the E. You need to call each year though to ask for it or it will go back to full price. I am on the fence about it though. Its an OK service and I drive daily in areas where the radio stations change due to range so its nice to not have to keep flipping frequencies. Perhaps I should try spotify?
I don't think it had has to go with the car you drive though. After renewing for the E I asked why the traffic works but not gas prices, she had to look and said something like "Oh you are in a Mercedes it doesn't work with those radios"...

You need to create an account with them and give them a credit card number before they can charge you - they cannot get cc info from the dealer but they can get basic info such as address and name.
You shouldn't have any issues getting basic service for $77 plus taxes and other fees - about $90 all told. You won't get the traffic/weather unless you sign up for that service and that is about another $100 a year.
If you don't sign up after 6 months you'll get a letter with an offer. Ignore that and you'll get the $77 offer. About a year later you'll get a "6 months for $25" offer. Don't let them charge you an activation fee.
PM me for the way to get the $77 a year if you want.
You might get lucky and have it continue. Some dealers accidentally set it up on a dealer account that doesn't expire, but unless you've talked with Sirius/XM and have given them your billing info they cannot charge you.

Mike - different manufacturers have different agreements but BMW, Audi and MB have 6 months included.

DITTO ON XM RIPOFF
I dropped my account for the Cedes because I haven't had a signal since the prevue last fall and disputed a monthly charge on credit card for online XM that I never agreed to, the bank took care of that after many talks with XM, I kept an active account that I have had basically since they went on air. Yesterday that account stopped even though I pay yearly, after an hour on the phone I was told that XM had done a "charge back" on the active account and could not tell me exactly what a "charge back meant but said that I only had like $7.35 in the account and shut it down. Ahhemmm, I had already paid for a years service on both accounts and never recieved a refund on top of everything else. My Bank has reopened the original dispute as of today in reference to the monies that were "accrued" from me by XM. Anyone know a GOOD Attorney?

just checked my CC, theres no charges noted on the card. .....i dont know what other card they may have??i konw when i did mbrace they gave us a print out of the account, i cant find anything like that for the sirius
I live in the triangle and the traffic thing has never been that accurate.....
like last night it told me the traffic was slow moving on a section of I40....
but things were fine lol....
I do really like the weather and storm display however and would consider that if it were a stand alone option...
where are you in NC?

I just renewed at about $4 a month. That's a price I'm willing to pay.If I was ever able to get my radio station streaming through my phone to work reliably I might not subscibe but it fades in and out.

Sirius turned me over to collection. I told them " how can I owe them money?
They control the switch".
Pathetic programming, their out of business and do not know it.

XM
I just don't see how they get away with some of the things they do, I'm letting my bank deal with them, I sure wish that anyone that has had problems with them would set up and report them as it will just continue on. I plan on pushing this as far up the ladder as I can. Never got a reply from XM Corporate last time as well.

I'd do nothing until your Sirius actually quits. I bought a car onceand XM worked for three years without me ever having an account..

A few months ago I called them after having allowed my free trial to lapse. They offered me 6 months for something like $25.That one just expired and the other day they offered me 5 months for $25,which I accepted. That's about all I'm willing to pay per month so I'll keep the service while it's that cheap.I like many of the talk channels (I have almost *all* of my music on the music register) and I like the fact that I can travel from Maine to California and listen to the same channel (if I wish).
