2010 E350 without P1 or P2 radio
i tried this post in the audio section and got no bites, just looks so I am trying it here...
I have a 2010 E350 with just the base radio (no P1 or P2). Can the satellite radio module be added to this to get sirius? also what about nav? Does the radio need to be pulled and have a hard drive installed with the nav loaded onto it or do i need a whole new head unit? Id like to add these to this head unit. Any help would be so appreciated...thanks so much !!..

I have a 2010 E550 without P1 or P2. It cannot be upgraded to nav or satellite radio to the best of my knowledge, without the upgrades you suggest.
However, if you have the latest software updated by a dealer, you can use bluetooth to stream music from your phone (ie. my iPhone music sounds great on it!). This will make your CD player obsolete.

2010 E350 4matic
I recently purchased a base CPO 2010 E350 4matic since I couldn't justify spending the extra $4500 (CAD after taxes) for the premium package. I can live without the rear sunshade, HK surround sound, navigation and push-button start.
My non-navi headunit does have Sirius. Still learning about the car so maybe I'm missing some info...or the Canadian version is different from the US one?

My head unit has the navi button so shouldn't it just need the hard drive installed with nav on it?
Not sure why I would need a different display ?
Do you know what harness is different ?
Thanks guys. Good info so far !

Check out this part #A204 870 7096. It is a navigation and bluetooth upgrade for the 204 C class & GLK with the Audio 20 head unit, which is likely what is installed in your car.
I couldn't say whether this will work in a 212. You should probably check with your local service department.
Good Luck

Awesome that I found my exact question already asked just a few months ago! Can you give details on the software upgrade? If I can stream music over Bluetooth then I'm halfway there!
Also, I'll have a look at the part number referenced as it may be a good solution to the second half of my not-so-urgent needs.

I would think that you dealer can upgrade to NAV and Serious. MB has some kits for SIRIUS, and at least had them in the recent past for NAV.
With regards to retrofitting Factory NAV (which is not the same as the NAV upgrade), they probably will not do that. As when I was poking around to retrofit factory NAV in my former 2008 C300, I went ot 3 dealers and they told me no. My dealer's service even said that they don't do that in NorthAm. Which BTW, made me even more determined to do it. I did do it myself and it worked very well with one trip to the dealer to get the latst HU software and install the auxillary fan (could not get my hands in there, could not find the 2 mounting holes, even using a mini-cam doh! ).
However that was the C-class. I went on the UK benz forum and there was someone who made a change from his 2010 NTG4 HU to a NTG 4.5 HU, and that was not as simple as I thought it would be. As I was considering doing that conversion - seemed like a lot of work to go to NTG 4.5. I really did not get the impression that the individual reviewed the deltas on the car schematics between their car and one equipped with a NTG4.5 HU? I did that for my factory NAV retrofit and that helped me quite a bit - made things simpler, allowed me to not have to use the retrofit cable and pull the dash to install it .
Here are some threads that I was involved in for the C-class when I did and other did it. I hoipe tis helps in your decision - they are long.
