/// NEW 2013 E-Class Interior Photos ///
these photos were posted on chinese E-class forum last week.
apparently mercedes china is already testing the new E-class,
prepping the re-designed e-class for its factories in china.
looks more like the CLS or S class design. quite nice.
I think it should be amp meter
Interior is more classier may be I can upgrade the interior even though it cost me a small fortune lol
I wonder what seat controllers to look like , I like R231 SL's a lot
Because they dramatically seem to upgrade the interior thanks to adding aluminum/chrome buttons in the center may be seat buttons also take a refreshing touch as well
but the clock looks really nice, even though it pisses me off that I have that in
my exclusive cls, and now E has it too.........
still looks better than having it in the cluster...
thanx for sharing

i think that is still exclusive for AMG models.....

i got this one from other thread where mikemargolis posted his beautiful interior color combo:

Those alum / chrome buttons look cheap. I like the old one better.
And that clock in the middle gets old really quick.
Its so funny when they made the car almost perfect and then they just have to come up with something new every so often and start going worse...
Current 212 interior is extremely well designed and there really is not much to improve with the looks. They should spend more time in perfecting it, i.e. making it more quiet and improving in electronic features. Keep the frigging looks as it is.

Also, this takes away the exclusivity of the CLS interior (even though I don't like it).
Why do away with E-Class traditions like the clock in the instrument panel?
And don't get me started on those horrendous 'tunnels' around the dials. What is the point of them?
As I've said before, please can we have a simple, flat and classy design for the instruments like BMW?

"tunnels" around the dial on the instrument panels are standard on "avangarte" lines of mercedes. US customers might not be familiar with the terms "elegance" "avangarte" used on mercedes models; they are like different packages (interior/exterior) for euro spec mercedes.
anyways. like it or not, this is what the new E interior looks like.
The 5 Series instrument panel is far superior IMO. Simple, elegant and classy.
NOT trying to look like a 'muscle car'.
I am sorry I am not a fan of that dash. It was one of the many reason why I didnt buy a 5er.
I am a HUGE fan of their infotainmanet system though. It make our tiny Nav screen look cheap and dated.
I like the current W212 dash, but I think MB are moving in totally the wrong direction with the 2014 replacement.
I guarantee the new S-Class won't have a faux sports car dash, so why does the E-Class get one? I understand that the CLS and C-Class are more 'sporty', but this is not the role of the E.
The COMAND screen looks like a sideways iPhone to me, done deliberately I'll assume due to M-B Designers' affinity and stated inspiration by Apple's industrial design.
In EU the CLS has a covered wood door like the E, yet in the U.S for whatever reason M-B disregarded that. This along with weird cheap things like cost cutting a proper electronic "beep" from the alarm after 2010 on what's supposed to be a Premium Manufacturer, constantly make me wonder what M-B are thinking when it comes to the finer details.
