Sport Appearance Luxury Suspension?
This has the Three Bar Grille, and split spoke wheels, but the invoice says it has a 'Luxury Suspension'. Anybody know what the deal is with 'my new' used 2011 car?

That's what the sales man told me. It also says 2011-2 on the original invoice. Maybe that means 2nd half of 2011.? i thought if it was a Luxury, it got the Round DRLs.

Nothing in the pictures says "Sport." Gotta be a Luxury for sure.
As MCF points out, those DRL's don't look right. They say "2012" to me. Unless there was a running change towards the end of the 2011 model build. Anyone know if there was??
To the OP: When was the car sold to the first buyer? IOW, how much time remains on the 4 year/50K miles warranty? Just curious.
At any rate, enjoy your new Benz to the max. Great car.

I went to MBUSA and toggled between the Sport and Luxury, and now I can see the difference. I was just looking at the Bars on the Grille. I didn't know Distronic had to have the 3 bars.
I was kinda on the fence about the Sport vs Luxury when I was thinking about Ordering a new one. I guess I'm not on the fence anymore. ;-)
I don't know when the car was originally purchased, but I assume it was the 2nd half of 2011 just because of the 2011-2 on the Invoice. I may not be correct on that though. I kinda understand they run the Bluetecs in the line twice a year. Maybe the -2 means 2nd run? I'm just grasping at straws here.
The 2012 Luxury has the 8 bar wheels that I didn't much care for. The 17" wheels would have been the wheels I would have picked if I had ordered a Sport. The people on the board complaining about the ride quality of the 18-19" wheels made that decision for me.
Does anybody know if this car has a Spare? I kinda want to stay away from the Runflats in the 2012's.
Also, What's the difference between the Sport and Luxury Guage Cluster?
I can't wait to drive this thing! I'm so Stoked!!!!

That is almost exactly the same as mine, but I have the four bar grill because of no distronic (which I wish I had, btw).
Mine is 2011 Luxury and P2, same 17" wheels. Actually I believe all Bluetec have 17" because of the run flats.
Congrats on the great car. I've put 11,000 on mine since February, and love it more every time I drive it.

2012 S350 Bluetec 4Matic, Diamond White, P2
The sport versions also have a black headliner. The luxury versions have a light colored headliner and, to my eye, more elegant guages.

2011 E350 Bluetec purchase question
We are down to the wire on purchasing a 2011 E350 and the 2 cars we are considering are almost alike in terms of options (P2, Driver Assistance package, Parkassist, split rear seats, almost identical mileage 15.5K, price identical, but one is Sport (Diamond white), the other is Luxury (Quartz blue). Both have ash tex interiors.
Both are beautiful cars, and I don't know the difference between the suspension feels, and the tire issues.
Any thoughts?

I have the Luxury Bluetec with Runflats. I know the tires have a lot to do with it, but I wouldn't want the ride any Harsher. Does the Sport have 18" or Larger? (if it's not a Bluetec I don't think it has Runflats) The Ride might be compromised. I think the Sport vs Luxury appearance wise is negligible. Although I haven't spent much time looking at the Quartz Blue, but I'd probably have to choose white. Or keep looking for Palladium. I do dig the Distronic though.. ;-)

Does the Sport have 17" or 18" wheels?
My sales assoc said the difference between Sport and Luxury suspension is minimal.
18" wheels/tires will be a little firmer but very close in ride quality.
IMO the Diamond White Sport is a much better option but I find the Sport much better looking and find the Diamond White one of their sharpest colors.
And I find the 18" AMG five spoke/split spoke wheels the perfect OEM wheel--does the Sport have them?

For some reason I missed that it was Diamond White. I was thinking Arctic (Refrigerator White) for some reason. I'd have to take the sport. Whatever harshness with the suspension is definately offset by Beauty.

Both cars have 17" wheels--on the photos, the wheels look a lot alike. We really like both the Diamond White and the Quartz Blue, and both are beautiful and extra cost options. But for winter in Spokane, I'll probably put on Blizzaks or something similar, as we have weather to deal with. I've looked at the MBUSA website and switched on/off the Sport option and there is not a large difference on the outside. We do a lot of highway driving, and a quieter ride is of importance, and Spokane doesn't do a lot of roadwork, so a stiff ride is unfun except on the track.
