i use CLS 400 which shares same M276 DE30LA Engine, i have done ecu reflashed.
do you guys know how much is the maximum potential turbo boost pressure bar allowed for this type of engine?
currently the workshop set to 1 bar or around 14.5psi, i want to try around 18 psi, is it still safe for my gearbox, turbo, and all related piping or other hardware?
i read in here:
https://www.boostaddict.com/showthre...b-ft-of-torque
it stated that M276 DE30LA engine given 1.8 boost pressure from the manufacturer, is it true? because its around 26 psi.
Thanks anyway

edit: I may be overstating the stock/default PSI numbers for the standard 400, cannot remember exactly. I'll do some logging tonight and let you know what I'm getting with map3 for peak.

Wrong thread for your engine. That 1.8 BAR number thrown around is a typo, it's actually .8 bar I by default I believe. The AMG 43 version of this motor is running around 1 bar default I think. Using this piggyback, I run 5.5lbs over stock on 93 octane, which means I'm approaching 17psi at peak. People with the AMG version get them higher than that without issue: https://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28003 . That box allows you to graph the values, read through the thread and see what people are running sustained at peak without issue in the various iterations of that motor. The only difference anyone has been able to determine between the 400/450 and early 43s has been software. There were rumors of upgraded turbos in later years, but the part numbers never showed that.

you probably should start a new thread in the w212 section, as the majority of US model W212'sa re indeed M276 based V6's with direct injection. only some of them are turbos, my E350 is the 3.5L non-turbo version. or maybe even the W213 section as most all of those are turbos. this thread is about the diesel CDI engines..
when you increase boost, you also need to increase fuel delivery, and with a direct injection engine thats a little more complicated ... I suspect the E450s and E43's have bigger injectors and different programming than the E400s to eek out the higher horses and torques.
