Trick and helpful tips for W212 owners.
Hello everyone, I started this thread to share the knowledge and experience about tricks I found for my car, so anyone knows something this could be reference for. These things applied and worked in my 2010 E550 P1.
1- In hot weather you can actually open all windows, sunroof, and activate the vent/cooled seats by: Press the closing doors and immediately open and hold the door panel until everything opens.
2- HOLD function, applies on D and N, stop and hold the brakes then depress the brakes until a HOLD is activated.
3- Accessing Engineering Mode 1, press and hold REJECT CALLS+ENTER+#1
Engineering Mode 2, while in EM 1 press and hold REJECT CALLS+ENTER+#4
4- You can jump directly to any music player without using the COMMAND controller, for example: you are using the NAV and want to change the COMMAND music from BT audio to Media Interfere, press #0 for MI 9# for BT audio and every # has function for.
That's for today.
I hope this thread would be helpful as its for me and I'm happy to share my experience as I hope you share for others.
Thank you.

i give you credits for trying to help out other fellow members, though . it's well better than some newbies just create a thread to ask a question w/o even doing a quick search. they didn't say thanks and disappeared after they have their answers . worse yet, they'll even complain if no one replies in an hour .

Could you explain procedure a little more? I was told by Mercedes that this was only possible in Convertable models and would like to be able to do it on my 2014 E3501 sedan.
Thanks!
Thanks!

You essentially press the "open" / unlock button and keep it pressed and windows / sunroof start opening.
AT times, it's been noted that I need to be pretty close to the door.

on my 2012 another way to open sunroof and all windows from the outside is to put your finger on the sensor on the door handle and pull the handle so its halfway out, holding it like this opens all the windows.

I think the best hack by far was enabling the bluetooth streaming in the engineering menu. Older w212 like mine (2010) don't have the feature by default. It actually works really well although the song titles arent transmitted. You can still change tracks, pause and play with the comand.

This is from the other post linked above...
Alright guys I'll do my best at this... (BT=Bluetooth)
-End Call + # + 1: opens Engineering Mode
- HU Settings
- HU Parameter
(the following are the settings I put them in)
(1) BT contact plate: Not Installed
(2) LCT: Installed
(3) BT audio: On
(4) Audio Aux: Off (greyed out: not an option)
(5) Video Aux: Off
(6) Navi: installed
(7) BT: on
-back buttonx2
-pull command wheel down
- system reset
- reset - yes
- go to audio, then go to the audio tab again to bring up the drop down menu of audio options, select BT audio and activating audio device comes up, then the audio streaming screen
I have included screen shots of all the important steps (sorry for the poor quality but it was night time and the flash on my phone kept going off) Let me know if I need to clairfy ne thing.
