Spacers for w212 4matic sedan

Hi everyone,

Im new to the forum and wanted to get some of your input.
I just picked up a 2013 E350 4matic sedan with sport, wheel and P1 packages (along with a spoiler and comfort box). I noticed the wheels look nice but very whimpy in terms of stance.

So I decided to look for some 15-20mm spacers for front and back. I found a few H&R spacers for 125.99$ per pair but not sure how they are. If any one has experience or knowledge with spacers on our cars, I would appreciate a responce. Thanks.

Here's my forum experience with spacers: it depends on who you ask. On a relatively conservative forum like an M-B forum, you will probably get a lot of negativity. On something like Audizine or VWvortex, you will lots of people who have been using them (presumably safely) over many thousands of miles.

The bigger picture: your 'stance' isn't going to be really solved by spacers alone. What you really need to do is reduce the 'fender gap' between the top of your tire and the wheelwell. It isn't necessarily cheap, but even a subtle drop will go a long way. After that you can do things like wider wheels or spacers to complete the effect.

Before I purchased my new rims, I was running 15mm/20mm spacers on my car and it definitely made a difference on the stance. Stock wheels are tucked so far under the car and I hated the look, but liked my factory amg wheels. I would also recommend a small drop as well, like others have said, to complete the look. As for safety, I drive my car hard and never had a problem with the spacers on, or was there any vibration. Make sure the kit you purchase comes with the longer studs... Good luck.

Thank you all for the response, I should have mentioned this is not my first car modifying (although you cant really call spacers "modifying") I just parted (RIP) with my 2011 g37XS that sat on BC BR Coilovers, wider 20mm offset wheels with low pro slightly stretched tires and 15mm spacers all around. Mainly I wanted some input on what spacers run nicely on the W212 without vibrations at high speeds and which ones are a better buy. Perhaps did not state myself properly. But yes I've noticed this site is very conservative in terms of visual and performance mods - although I do understand that MB is not really the car for that. Thanks again guys.

Another thing I wanted to find is some inspiration on the visual side and if anyone would kindly point me to the right direction (google finds nothing) I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks! Which company did you run? This is my exact thought actually, I don't plan on changing the wheels on this vehicle and simply just make them closer to the fender - something like what BMW accomplished on their M sport 3 series Sedans. flush to the fender edge, yet still has a slight wheel gap.
In regards to a drop, I doubt I'll do it on this car. I am trying to have it serve its purpose as a transporter - and as we all know, lowering a car diminishes it's livability factor especially on warzone-like New York City roads.

I'll have my customs shop look for some spacers (probably 10mm front 15mm back) let whoever is interested know how it turned out.
Thanks again.

Thank you, but I do not agree that it was gnarly and nasty, It was a very fun car to drive after handling mods and served its purpose quite well.

But Mercedes is a whole different ball game, in order to get the performance, handling and fun out of it I needed to go to AMG - which is why I am not bothering with any performance/handling modifications on this 350. The W212 serves its purpose well too, as a good, comfortable car.

Not at all, but I prefer to keep my opinions to myself.

H&R has a good rep for spacers. Anything over 3mm you should get the longer studs.

2007 e350 sport. 2010 350 4matic sport. Worlds first W212 E63R self built.
Currently I'm running 10mm rear 5mm front with stock 18" amg wheels. I was also running the same spacers with 19 by 9 et42 set up. I'm gonna buy the h&r coilovers, I know it says they sell them for rear wheels drive only but the same thing was said about the springs and I haven't had a prob at all. The shock strut spring placement is in the same place as the rear wheel drive. I plan on running 19 by 10 front and 19 by 11 rear by the spring. Or 18" with the same wide width.
