If this is that guy from Australia.....Jeremy? I can vouch for his e550 tune. I got a 2011 e550 n/a and he did the tune and I'm 100% happy with it. Just kinda sorta wished I had waited a year and got the TT V8 motor as there really isn't much you can do with a n/a V8 motor.

My 2011 e550 coupe (non turbo V8) with no other mods than this tune is one bumper slower 0-60 than my buddies X6 M. Literally....he had a 6" lead on me when we hit 60mph.

The main problem is wheel spin. If I manage to get a good launch, the car would probably be even 0-60.

Amazed at how you were able to make a n/a motor actually gain horsepower and torque with a simple tune.

Would my ECU be reflashed to stock if I bring my car to dealer for service?

 

Great results against an X6M!

It is always possible that the dealer may update and overwrite your ECU during service. If any other modules require updating/replacing, the it is more than certain the ECU will be updated at the same time.

With the purchase of a flash loader, your ECU does not need to be removed for tuning and you can always switch between settings at you convenience.
Purchase also comes with free reflashes should the dealership write over your tuned settings. Your tune will be saved in our database and is always 100% reversible. The option of removing the tune and returning your vehicle to the "Factory Stock" tune for service is very easy and re-installing an updated tune after the dealer overwrites/updates your ECU requires new read information and the same process as when flash loader was first used.

 

How much is the flash loader? And if I buy it does that mean that's all I need to get my W212 tuned?

 

Unfortunately our flash loader does not support 2012 550 M278 Bi-Turbo. (upto and including 2011 350 is supported with our flash loader) Your ECU will have to be removed and sent in for tuning the 550.

I had my car in for "Service B" a few weeks ago.....advised the dealer of the tune, they claim they wouldn't flash anything (thereby over writing the tune and setting it back to stock).

On the off chance they did....

How could I tell?

 

When communicating with your vehicle using the flash loader (just before writing) the tool will determine if the version in your ECU is the same as on your flash loader. If there is an updated version, the vehicle will not flash.

I would love to have the Flashloader and a choice of tunes for my 2011 E350 Bluetec. Any chance of that happening?

 

The flash loader does not support 2011 models right now. The only way to apply the tune is if the ECU is removed.
