That mbrace button....
So, I popped my rear right pirelli with a screw that someone was on the road... now I need roadside assistance. No worry, I'm not stuck in a ditch somewhere, I made it home and the car is in the garage. I was hoping to use the mbrace button but I didn't sign up for it (I bought it as a CPO)...
Now I'm not sure if I didn't sign up for the mbrace2 or upgrade version of the regular mbrace because I recall getting several fliers/postcards that egged me to join.
So, I guess my question is.... can I still use the mbrace button for regular roadside or no?

I think the two buttons are different. The one with tool pictures is the Road Side assistance and the other is the Mbrace. I always thought that the Roadside assistance does not require membership. It comes for life with the car.
Mbrace is for other "convenience" features, like remote lock operation etc and requires paid membership.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Roadside Assistance NOT life time
You can check with MBUSA or dealer, but there are limitations on road side assistance. BTW, roadside assistance is separate from mBrace.
Might be wrong, but RA is provided while car is under warranty or if you take your car to an authorized MB service center at least once per year. MBUSA sent a letter out on this a couple of years ago.
My dealer gave me a key fob with his toll free number and the toll free number for MB Roadside Assistance on it. Very handy.
Checked my paper file. If you purchased your car from an MB dealer before Jan 2011, you also qualify.

Thanks guys... but there is a RA number to call right? I guess I'm going to have to do it the old fashioned way. Maybe I'll still try the tool button and see what happens.
Maybe this is a wake up call to activate mbrace.

If you haven't got MBrace, you must call 1-800-367-6372 (1-800-FOR-MERC) for Roadside Assistance. If you have MBrace press the wrench button.
Roadside Assistance covers jump starts, gas and tire changes. It applies to ANY Mercedes of ANY age and for ANY owner. I've owned Mercedes continuously since 1992 and used RA once. A battery on a two year old E320 went bad prematurely. They came out and replaced it in my garage at no charge.
