Thanks. So far in driving about 350 miles I'm averaging 39 MPG according to the cars computer (mostly freeway and two lane back roads), and I'm really impressed with the comfort, handling and power. Just what I was looking for.

Daytime: Slow and easy with 2006 SL500 & 2003 S430 . Night time: Hard and Fast with my wife
This is a fun topic... my bucket list:
- Convertible car (and not just any convertible but an MB convertible as I have been in love w/ their look for a long time - tell me I am crazy but I would prefer MB convertible over a Lambo or Rolls (like I could afford them :-)
- Ocean front home

I now owned my SL500 so cross one off the list... working on the home.

Also, not that I knock down young people driving sport/convertible but when I see young people driving a late model MB Sedan, my gut tells me that they are a kind of people who are responsible and their family should be very proud of them.

I'm surprised at how many people here have E-Classes as their first cars.

Speaking from experience, it's fun to get something a little raw, rough around the edges as your first car/s, even brash or crude in some ways, as when you get your refined Luxury Sedan you will appreciate it endlessly.

+1

Again, I have no problem with kids having nice cars, but in a wierd way, I feel they're missing out on a life story and point of reference. Like Jim Croce said, "Ain't nobody ever had a rainbow baby, until they had some rain".

I had a 2002 ML and I thought out of all the cars I've driven, it was the worse in terms of ride and reliability

WELL said. I don't want to speak for other peoples lives as their cars are just a small part of their story, but it really does add to a great life story when you can reference a sort of "growing path". I.e my Mustang GT with no mufflers, low-stiff suspension, 15" subwoofer in the back makes me nostalgically smile and feel pretty proud especially when I get in and drive my current car today.

Sometimes it's okay to covet your immaturity while you still can, and just at least make it "feel" like you have to strive for maturity, so you can have something to look back on and reference in that regard.

I remember when I had said Mustang, which I adored more than anything, I'd sometimes sneak out my Mom's Black Inline-6 5-Series' (she had a black E34 which I passed my driving test on, then a ablack E39 which was my favorite.. I remember looking at it, and driving it sometimes and thinking "one day I'll have one of these and it'll be my perfect car", then a black E60 which I wasn't very fond of stylistically and which I drove to buy my first ever luxury car (An '02 S500 with 152K miles on it).

Now, I have my own black 5-Series, and I can enjoy the same story.

If I had just gotten it said and done with back then (a black 5-Series, for example) by way of parental present, I couldn't wax nostalgic like this.

I'm 24 and I just purchased my 2010 E350 two weeks ago! Although I got it used obviously, but it is my 4th car and I absolutely LOVE it. My previous car was a 2006 Nissan 350z, so lets just say I went from shifting gears and riding with one hand on the steering wheel to kicking back/relaxing/driving the speed limit and enjoying the ride!

lol my car is my girlfriend, she already costs me as much as one, so I currently don't need 2! Besides, no woman should tell a man how to drive, I don't tell a woman how to put her makeup on. We all have our boundaries

It has long been said that the first half of your life is ruined by your parents. The second half by your kids.

That's only if you do a poor job of selecting. I have friends who've put more thought into selecting their car than they did in selecting a wife, and naturally the car lasted longer

1999 MB E430 1998 SL500
Just turned older than dirt

I'm now 65 but going on 49! My 1999 E430 with 99K miles is the 106th car that I have owned and is quickly moving up into my top ten favorites...maybe even higher. An amazing car for a tank plus very close to 30 mpg on the road. The exhaust note is amazing with quiet lolygagging but a decent roar when hammered. I'm going to invest about $3K into it and keep it for quite a while. My last car was a tweeked Pontiac GTP with wheezer and I actually think that the Benz would drive around it...especially top end.
You should have been here the day dirt was invented...cats then had a way to cover up their poop!!

2013 E350 Sedan
41 here. I'll be 42 in November.

My first car was a 81 Toyota Corolla mini station wagon.

I just traded in my lifted Tundra for my E350. I still love trucks but the gas was just killing me on long distance drives. Not to mention my lady keep complaining about how high my truck was and it was difficult to get in.

Wife: 2011 E350
Me: 2009 CLS

When I wanna just chill out and perhaps get decent gas mileage I take the E350. Its a great car and I hope to drive it to some events here in so cal. I'm finally thinking of modding the car a little.

26 years old here. My 2013 was the first brand new car i've ever bought. Signing those papers and getting those keys handed to me was one of my proudest days!

I had a 2002 Audi A4 V6 before this that I bought stock and modded the **** out of, and my first car was a 1990 Acura Integra hatchback. This is my first automatic and it's quite a difference to adjust to!

2011 E-350
Hey guys, I 'm back...I'm 66 and my first car was a '50 Plymouth. My first new car was a '69 VW Beetle. I have had a total of 61 vehicles in my life, with 7 MBs, 7 VWs, and 3 BMWs, 1 Mitsubishi 3000GT, 2 Nissans, 2 MOPARS, and the rest were all GM and Fords. By the way, I did trade one of the nicest blinged out H3 Hummers for my current E350. The bottom line, in my lifetime, I have been all over the board with cars, but have consistently owned at least one MB since 1980.
