1965 Ford Galaxie 500 sedan purchased in late 1968. Great car for my last year and college and first year in Army. Carried everything I owned. Sold it when I went to Vietnam.
Got a '71 Dodge Challenger when came home. Turned me off Chrysler products forever.

1957 Triumph TR3 purchased in 1963 when I turned 16. Only kid in my school with a British sports car. This was the beginning of a love of 2 seater sports cars. I've had one for 49 years now. Triumphs, an MGB, two Pontiac Fiero's (great little cars both...especially the V6) and last but not least my 1990 Miata purchased Dec 1989 turned 23 this Dec.

I learned to drive in 1975 with a 1969 Chevy Impala, Blue with the 327 (235 Hp). That was the last year for the 327. I burned through a tire or two.... <ME> Dad
I'm so glad to experience that motor... <not the lectures on racing.... >

My first was a hand-me-down 1969 Chevy Impala coupe. It became mine in 1975. 350 cu. in. V8, small 4 brl Rochester Carb, Two Speed Turbo Hydramatic transmission. The thing would chirp the tires when it shifted into 2nd at 75 mph. Great car.

1960 VW Beetle that I had to BUY from my father. I don't remember it having a radio. It also didn't come with a fuel gauge. When the car started to run out of fuel, you were supposed to turn a lever under the dash to switch to a small reserve portion of the fuel tank. Problem was my Dad, or anyone else I asked, had a clue which way was which. What Fun!
Planted the thing into the side of a full size GM product (Pontiac Catalina I think) when they ran a stop light. That was the end of that. I would hate to think of how many cars since.

1973 Dodge Charger. I purchased it off of the show room floor six months before I got my drivers license. It was a long six months waiting for my license!

1984 Saab 900 Turbo
Purchased it used from Foothills SAAB in 1985. Slate blue metallic over tan velour. Front wheel drive, five speed, ignition between the heated seats, all the options plus some great accessories like the rear louvers, mudflaps, European one piece headlights, electric mirrors and locks, perimeter alarm (if you put your arm through the sunroof while it was armed the alarm would go off) trumpet horns and off road swaybars and shocks. I loved all 224K miles I put on that car. Took me between Chicago and Ft Collins CO during my undergrad and many city living years after. Great mountain car, I think it was the first time I ever felt brand affinity like that. There were very few SAABs in the mid west back then, and every time I passed one we would flash the brights at each other.
