Working for the Dealer ...

Hi Gang! here I am (again) doing the service manager's work ... research! (me)

My 2010 E350 had the BT streaming update for my NT4.0 COMAND that also added the temperature display to the screen when I adjusted the temperature. NOW, after "the latest" SW update, I have lost this display and the service manager has no clue what happened.

What I need:
#1 - What is the version of the SW that HAS both the BT and the temperature display?
#2 - Where again in the Engineering menu's do I find MY version of the SW? (Sorry, I searched our forum but just couldn't find the post)
#3 - Is anyone else seeing the loss of temp display after being to the dealer and having a SW "update"?

And finally, can anyone sell me a working MB service manager?! Mine seems to be defective...

That's hardly a function of the service manager. Are you under the impression he writes the code for the updates or that MB is a small local company? I'm just curious, heck, maybe it is.

Can anyone that has the functionality of the temperature changes displayed on their screens capture the version of the SW your using from the engineering menus? Also, which menu heading/section where your version number is displayed. I want to compare it to the version they installed on my COMAND.

Thanks in advance!

Bump - Can anyone share their SW version with me? I'm headed back to the dealer this week.

Maybe that's all I have to do too. How/where in the Eng Menu is this? Then I can take it back to the dealer and teach them how to do that. (think they'll pay my $160/hour technician service charge?)

probably not since that 160 pays the tech, the electricity, the rent, the manager, the appt lady, the advisors, etc etc etc..... what you will probably get if you go in there to teach someone something is laughter after you leave.

just being honest..... they know what they need to know to make money and feed their kids. no fault in that at all.
