Porsche Macan S SportDesign / Ex M-B's: 11 & 10 & 06 E350's, 02 S500
Anyone who gets the new E will have to take the risk of front license plate tickets. Considering the plate frame takes up exactly the space of the painted center portion in between the enlarged air dams, it makes it appear as if it really modifies the design of the front. I also wonder why the Sport Package still gets the same AMG wheels which were out on the W204 C-Class before the W212 even launched. They're nice wheels but considering how extensive and "corrective" M-B seems to see this facelift as being, adding new wheels would have made it even easier to trick people into thinking it's an all new model which M-B seem so oddly intent on doing.

I know that USA license are not as wide as the euro but a little taller. Don't see how the you interpret that it "takes exactly the space...between the air dams". Not that I like the look at this point but it may be a trend. (Lexus??)
The radiator and other real air ducts is highly likely to be above that anyway.

Actually that picture you posted shows the plate actually being LARGER than the painted portion running across. The plate therefore cuts into the air dam space, which truly throws the design intentions off. From what I know, U.S and Euro plates are the same width from bottom to top?

Not a matter of opinion. But the facts for license plates:
Euro format 520mm x 110mm tall
Universal format (USA, Japan, Korea, etc.) 305mm x 155mm tall
Tall= vertical dimension (in case you need to imagine it)
Converted -
Euro format 25.47 x 4.33 inches (110 square inches)
Universal format 12 x 6.1 inches (73.2 square inches)
Euro format is 50% BIGGER.

Friend of mine has a Prius, not at all in the same class as a W212. What some extreme (?) prius owners practice is grill blocking. Do a search on google for some images. Absolutely crazy to me, that one would actually risk overheating to boost mpg beyond what the Prius already does. Prius owners probably would want to take off their license plate too if they thought they could get some more mpg.

I know it's been a while but is this pdf the final order guide for both the sedan and the wagon? I have my build sheet that I can go back to, but was just curious. I have a lot of options added to my vehicle active ventilated seats are not one of htem despite my sedan having the P01 package?
