2014 E CLASS ORDER GUIDE!
. i'm sure this will be one of the hottest options and a big moneymaker for mb
.btw, thanks for the list, moegunz
looks like everyone gets LED lamps now? nice!
looks like a lot of nice noobs too........
doing away with Nightview? and maybe adding split screen like in the S?
I'll bet the hockey stick DRL's will return in the future.......lets wait and see/////
hope they don't jack up their side mirrors like mine
I like that you can FINALLY a la carte Options on the car, so now we'll see some more diversity and uniqueness between models. Will make looking for what different models have on them more enticing and interesting.
Also looks like the Options are more or less the same as on the pre-facelift? Nothing really new I can find, just different ways to equip them obviously. Looks like they even discontinued the Night Vision, which I guess isn't surprising (too over-engineereed or maybe useless for the "I don't care just give me the Lease to the most basic model" trained American market).
So no more E350 Bluetec? Interesting that they're bringing in the 250 instead, but I guess Diesels sell in such small numbers and ultimately appeal to those so gas conscious that the "350" number or extra power is meaningless.
Curious to see that Covelline Blue paint. Looks to be purple-ish to me. Hot blues are becoming "in" again on cars.
What is "Static LED headlights"? I do know that on the NON LED-Package cars, the headlights will regress into cheap reflectors akin to 80's American cars (even while current cheap American cars are upgrading to projectors for their halogens). It's shameful that after all this time, M-B and BMW and maybe other premium manufacturers are regressing to hideous reflectors for their halogens. Looks terrible not only at surface, but especially at nighttime (like the facelift C-Classes headlights at night).
IMO the pre-facelfit instrument cluster looks so much nicer and more interesting than the "CLS" cluster which is becoming more ubiquitous across the M-B range (as are seemingly most of the "CLS" interior cues), though it does have too much a hard-plastic-y look.
Damn, the updated Attention Assist sounds enticing. The first one is cool in theory, but worked terribly inaccurately via my many experiences with it.
Looks like M-B's will finally get those "guidelines" that so many have been clamoring for. I have them now and will say they are a great addition, but still kinda pointless due to the main benefit of the camera being the CAMERA itself, though they're better than nothing.
And wow IMO that illuminated Star is gaudy. I can't believe they did some whole uber emotional video spot highlighting something so superfluous and insubstantial.

Keyless Go Package would have fit me just right
E250/350 I will have to test drive to decide. Having the diesel 4 matic would be nice for the 1% of the time I would need it. The 2.1 I diesel is very well selling in europe so I am interested to see how it compares to my 350...
It's tacky to me.M-B is really exploiting their Star grille to the nth degree these days, seems desperate to me. This just takes it to a new level (overkill).
Maybe they should have done it on the hood Star instead at least.... maybe that could rejuvenate that setup and relight the fire of the Luxury Grille.

The pre-facelift got criticized enough for having "bland" taillights. I agree that it's the weakest link of the design though I liked mine when I smoked one or the other portions of it (my 2010 had smoked red portions and my 2011 smoked white strips), however I can't believe they REALLY made the taillights no arguments bland as hell this time around. No character to them. I prefer the white strip going across the middle at least.

Bumper cover from that angle also looks weird and looks like it was crafted by someone who likes riced out cars
