2010 e550 Keyless GO
Dealer tells me that 2010 e550 has keyless go with keyless entry but he doesn't have the actual button, which can be taken on and off?? Right now it starts with a key only, as dealer explained i can this silver button from MB and i will have push to start, and wont need to use a key
Is that right???

Also if its keyless entry shouldn't it be by default to have keyless go-push to start?
I mean you get in the car without need of key but then you have to take it out to start the car that doesn't make any sense lol))
Also how do you tell if its P1 or P2, what was the extra you get in P2 for 2010 e550? Would be also nice to find all options/features you could get for 2010 e550 Thanks!

Not sure what your dealer is saying, because KG is more than a silver button in the dash, the system includes antenna and controllers built into the car.
Operationally, with KG you can just touch a door and the car will unlock (in different configuations as programmed by the owner) and will enable you to start the car by pushing the in-dash button.
For 2014 MB separately offers KG from the P1 package ... go figure.

Your dealer is full of crap. MB only has Keyless-GO. There is no Keyless Entry.
It is obvious they have somehow lost the silver Start/Stop button from the car and tell you a "story" that the car does not have it and you can get one from MB. Keyless-GO is part of the P2 package and includes the Start/Stop silver button.
The button is removable so you can use the key in case something goes wrong with the Keyless-GO system or at the service they can remove the button as obviously the servive people prefer to use the key instead. It may also be that for some service functions key must be used.
Bottom line, a P2 car came from the factory with the Start/Stop button,
I drive the 2010 E550 with P2 and I have the Keyless-GO including the Start/Stop button. This is also what my previous 2011 E350 had.
KEYLESS GO adds the proximity sensors in the doors so you don't have to physically press the button on the key, as well as the ignition button.

Man,
what you call "Keyless Entry" used to be called "Remote Locks". Almost all cars now has this. It is Keyless only if you don't have to press the button on the FOB. The FOB is your key, remote key.
MB "Keyless-GO" is a system where you really do not need to touch the key at all, just have it on you when operating the car. OP's 2010 E550 came from the factory with all parts of it, someone has just misplaced the Start/Stop button.

samkimg, u got 350? was it same for 550?

If you bought the car new and the Start/Stop button is missing then you lost it or the dealer lost it before delivering the car to you.
If you bought it used from a privatre party then you need to buy one yourself.
If you bought it from the dealer they owe you the button. I would raise a hell about it.

Some folks like the door handle functions, but prefer to insert the key in the ignition to start the engine. Adding the button only means that you should be able to press the button rather than insert the key. The only common requirement is that the key needs to be on your person for either to work...
Edit: Be sure to read the reviews of any buttons on offer on fleebay. Some of these buttons are faulty and do not work.

I prefer to just leave the keys in my pocket. The nice thing about the button is that it always just cranks the engine the right amount to start it every time. You also never end up grinding your starter because you forgot the engine was already running, if you press it again while it's already running, it just shuts off.

I wish Benz had stuck with using the button on the shift knob like the W211 and that way you could do either without having to worry with the removable button.
