what should I ask for wheels?

What should I expect to collect for these 2011 18 inch AMG wheels that I had powder coated? Less than 5000 miles on them and SPOTLESS, literally not a scratch on them!
any input welcome

Powdercoating brings up several questions in the non-modders eyes who may like the look.
How much damage was done to the wheels before they were powdercoated? Was it so bad that they couldn't be repaired to the original paint and polish?
How durable is the powdercoating? Will it start flaking off?
The modder, OTOH, is going to look for a bargain unless yo find just that guy who has been looking for just those black wheels.
I know that in the BMW world, every powdercoated wheel had a sordid history. I realize that isn't the case here but will the potential buyer know.
Long story short - I don't think that the powdercoating is going to add any value, so you might want to do some eBay searches for completed sales.
Good luck with the sale. I know that isn't what you wanted to hear.
I hear what you're saying completely and thanx.....
some very good points that you've made...
I was under the impression that these were nice wheels and
were expensive new: NOT that it justifies a high price today....
but I thought I could get more.......being that they have practically no miles on them and are free of any scratches, and no, they were not ever damaged or PC'ed to hide anything......just wanted them black
was that price you mentioned for the wheels per wheel or for four?
.I've been trying to sell a pristine set of rare 9 spoke Audi RS-6 wheels for a couple of years - no luck.
Wheels are a pain to sell - expensive, everybody wants them for nothing and a b*tch to ship.
I guess I'm just sad the wheels are not that desirable.....
wow, that's a long time to try and sell some wheels........reminds me of that stupid diffuser I still have from Vorsteiner haha
You need to stress that the wheels never were repaired and you just wanted them black.
From a dealer they are what $1500 each? So a guy who wants them black might just pay a premium (say $3000) for a pristine set that he just needs to mount and go.
Me, I'd rather pay a bit more than go through the hassle of finding a reputable powdercoating place and hoping that it gets done right.
Be careful with eBay pricing too - lots of "AMG type" wheels out there - made in China with the corresponding quality controls.
