My new 2014 E350 4MATIC...
This is my third E350 -- Went from an '09 to a '12 and now a '14
My 2014 came with sport package, AMG wheels, spoiler, cold weather package (heated seats, mirrors, steering wheel), lighting package (xenons, adaptive headlights, etc)...what else, what else...That's it I think...
The interior isn't too much different from the 2012, but it has been updated nicely with a light gray stitching on the black seats which looks nice...The ambient lighting has three different colors now..an ice blue, a white, and the old plain yellowish lights...The steering wheel is the 3-point sport steering wheel that used to be an upgrade that now comes standard I believe..
The engine is the same as the one I had in my 2012, so not much difference there although it feels like there is more power (even those me '12 was running excellent at 30K miles). The steering is way easier and the suspension seems tighter...
Also, on sharp turns my '12 wouldn't allow me to accelerate too much, the '14 gives gas 100% of the time...Will post pics and more comments later..

Wait, I thought all 2014 E's came with LED headlights as standard and the upgrade is adaptive LED lights. When did Xenon's become an option?

My first post states that this is my third e350...not exactly a new customer, but then again, its just a car to me and im not as hardcore as a lot of the ppl on this forum.
The dealership will have a demo for you to test drive...it is a sport but with ****ty lights - trust me..It did have LED DRL's but they are at the same level of the headlight, unlike previous eclasses, and only about 4 inches long...looks cheap.
My '09 and '12 had LED and/or fog lights at the bottom of the front bumper making the stance aggressive enough that I could get away with the non-xenons with those models lol
But not on the '14 -- The sport comes with a chrome piece along the front of the car which makes it look a lot lower than it really is, which is nice, but mb did away with any lighting under the headlamps so the attention is drawn there..
From the MB website: http://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/vehicl...e=yes#exterior
Middle option is the package I got - The lights turns when you turn the wheel, the fog lights are like, built into the light some how...when you turn on the fogs you can see something inside the bulb turn downward and outward..weird..and sometimes there will be 4 xenons on and sometimes just two (and no, one is NOT high beams).
The full-time brow around the headlight is also something the non-lighting package-equipped models wont have...which will make your eclass look like the 'the cheap one' that TH Carrera has if u dont get the lighting package...pic below..
Im just starting to use mBrace which I got for 12 month's on MB..Its okay, kind've slow, but google maps is crazy...once you type the address in the GPS one of the options is google maps so you can see what the place you are going to looks like...pulled a pic up of the tint shop in about 36 seconds lol

Good Lord.... OP:
The new face lift E class only comes with either static LED headlamps (standard) OR with the lighting package that has adapting LED headlamps. There are no xenons in the facelift.
Since you called them xenons in your first post, someone commented that how come you got xenons.... so I figured you must be thinking the LED are xenon because they have similar whitish output.
I am not sure why you getting so butt hurt tho ?
Lastly, no I did not order mine with standar (aka cheap according to you) lights.

OP: see http://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/vehicl...vehicle-design (towards bottom) where it states LED headlamps are standard. You can also see this on page 18 of the E Class brochure (http://www.mbusa.com/vcm/MB/DigitalA...edan-Wagon.pdf). I have the lighting package on my 2014 E550 as well.

Also, can anyone explain why sometimes there are all 4 xenons on and sometimes just the outter ones?

The outer ones are low beams, inner ones are high beams and parking lights.

I'm telling you, all four are on when driving at night...and then there are high-beams that when you turn on, the middle two (that are already on) get super bright...

Outer lights = low beam lights
Inner lights = parking lights & high beam lights
That's why all 4 are on when you are driving at night. Parking lights are on when low or high beams are on.
This is not unique to the 2014 E, this is the same on all cars.
Is this the first time you've looked at the headlights of a car?

this is funny!
I somehow came across this thread and was ROFLMAO at the idiocracy and absurdity of the OP, and the subsequent comments from members relentlessly trying to correct him to, no avail.
It's like repeatedly telling a kid "2+2=4", and the kid coming back and saying "but I'm telling you: 4x2=2?"
